"Despite that, I decided to try the macaroni cheese chips topped with crispy skin and tomato wedges, followed by a hand-pressed veggie burger. My companions were delighted with their choices, indulging in favorites like fish and chips, steaks, and Caesar salad paired with house wine. As someone who has a sweet tooth, I couldn't resist ending my meal with a warm chocolate brownie. Overall, it was a good experience at one of the oldest pubs in the city. My advice: don’t rush; take your time to savor your meal and enjoy the moment! (The dining table is yours for the entire evening!)"

Good food, but nothing special. Reasonably friendly service, but you have to go the bar and order and pay each time, which is tedious. Awesome atmosphere. It's a beautiful, old building. Worth a stop for a pint.

Very superlative experience! The Guinness is very special, no places have the same taste in Ireland! It is very beautiful and interesting. The bus Translink stops in front of it. You can cross the shopping center Europa and entry. Must do it!

You cannot get more traditional pub than this pub in Belfast. Make sure you try the Steak and Ale Pie which is wholesome. I do love my mushroom soup (which is a holiday special). We went early so we can grab a seat at the booth. If you go with a group in the evening, it’s worth reserving a booth all for yourselves.

Stepping into the Crown feels like going back in time. The first floor bar looks elegant, if you come early your group can have their own snugs. Upstairs you can get food in the parlor and it's very nice and it's filled with old pictures. The service here is fast and they have a great mix of pub food and traditional English entrees.

A visit to Belfast wouldn't be complete without stopping by this pub. It’s one of the oldest in Northern Ireland and offers a charming atmosphere to enjoy some Irish beer. The decor is stunning, featuring authentic woodwork from the 1800s. It has a cozy vibe with traditional seating and ample service. I absolutely loved my experience here!

This is one of those places where ambience is everything. This could almost be an interactive museum. You feel like you are stepping back in time from the brilliantly preserved exterior to the even more impressive interior. Book or secure a snug/Booth at some point during your visit, if possible for the full experience. The food is also surprisingly good.

The Krone is one of the most iconic spots in Belfast and a fantastic venue for large groups. If you work with people from across the country, it’s a place that everyone knows. So, whenever we have a lads' day out in Belfast, we always make it a point to go to The Krone. If you're lucky enough to find a spot to stand, then you’ve hit the jackpot, as it can get quite busy. There's no shortage of tourists eager to grab a pint, but I think that's wonderful to see. I believe in enjoying a pint and embracing foreign cultures!

Went here for lunch. Lovely food with vegetarian option and reasonably priced. Not only are the food super tasty and fresh but the layout is beautiful too. I absolutely love the cheese cake I got. The interior is fantastic and brought you back in time the moment you stepped into this place. Naturally good for social distancing if your group can get into one of the boxes. The only sad thing about the place is that some previous visitors have let their own “marks” by carving into the beautiful wooden surface throughout the place.

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."
