This venue was fantastic for my 80th birthday party. It was so special and the staff were very attentive, always going above and beyond for us. The size was perfect for my family and friends to gather together.

Whilst I appreciate the prime location, this place is over priced. The music is bland and too loud, lounge seats might as well be floor cushions they are so low, and it's all a little soulless. It's also surprising they can barely pour a Guinness given they only have three taps to master.

George Street is more attractive than ever with all the Christmas decorations and being in such close proximity to the excellent Dome venue means Le Monde really has to make itself appealing. We were not staying in the hotel, just popped in for food and drinks. Well, it’s OK, that’s all I can say. Decor is nice but not great, drinks are on the expensive side and not presented in anything more than an average manner.Our bar food was overpriced and not particularly nice, pretty poor actually. We stopped at Lemonde for breakfast on boxing day 2018. We were the only people when we arrived so had the whole place to ourselves. Breakfast should have been simple..right! however, french toast when they arrived were cold, baked eggs in avocado were baked to death and hard, Americano coffee was weak. However, toast with butter was just fine. Staff were happy to take back the stuff but we had to get our long journey started so walked out without eating but still had to pay for some of the things. This place used to be reasonable a few years ago.

We visited the bar during a special weekend getaway and decided to celebrate with a glass of wine in the afternoon. We asked for a menu and ended up choosing a few small snacks. However, the prices of these snacks were extremely high. We received only three tiny slices of bread with a small amount of oil, three small olives, two small pieces of artichoke, and a small amount of cheese. This was a huge disappointment considering we had spent £19 on just two glasses of wine. The service was average at best. We recommend spending your money at a place where they appreciate your business. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

Went here with 4 friends for our festive meal. It was £35pp and all food was ordered in advance. The service was awful, took ages for our drinks to arrive and 45 mins for pre ordered food to come. All our starters were really good but the main Christmas dish,the turkey, was just horrendous. It barely resembled turkey was more a round blob covered in bacon and packed full of salty fatty stuffing. There was an absolutely tiny piece of turkey surrounding it that was mostly skin or processed meat. All 3 of us that ordered it left it on the plate dissected to bits and only ate the very small amount of veg that came with it. I booked this venue for a hen party with an average age of 30. The staff were excellent, very friendly and fun! However, the pleasant experience took a turn for the worse when we got to the restaurant. The cocktail making classes were enjoyable, but the food was disappointing. Some starters were returned cold, one table didn't even receive their starters, and the mains, although delicious, were not served warm. Desserts were also not up to standard. The chef needs better control of the kitchen to prevent these issues. Despite the problems, the Restaurant Manager apologized, gave us a discount on our bill, and offered complimentary drinks. Pre Booked a table outside in the outside ‘terrace’ at 5.30 on Saturday evening. Arrived at 5.25 the place was horrendous. Waited 20 mins from checking in for our table which we were told was getting cleaned. Waited with around 10 other people in a covid unsecure corridor with people practically shoulder to shoulder. Got taken to the outside ‘terrace’. It was an absolute joke. A cheap marquee no patio heaters and Tables and drunk people practically sitting on top of each other. So we were in Le Monde hotel before we get our train home. We had some snacks and drinks. Nice big armchairs with nice fire on. Nice blether with the waiter. Five minutes before we are due to leave. A female member of staff came over and said ‘ it’s against regulations for your wife to be sitting with her eyes closed’ . I asked what regulations and she said licensing regulations. I said I thought she was talking nonsense. Then a manager came over and reiterated we were breaking the law because Jenny had her eyes closed.
