"I booked a table day before. When I got there all the tables were reserved. We were shown to table 7 which is near the bar and was told as there were 2 of us this was only table we could have. We would have liked to move to a quieter table. The food and service were excellent. My only issue is that during the time we were in the pub (about hour and quarter) I only saw one of the other tables occupied. The same thing happened last time we visited. I will be coming to the pub every week for food and was wondering if there is any way, when booking, I can request a quieter table. Thanks"

Wonderful location with a great ambiance. The pub offers traditional food, and the bar staff are exceptional. Price per person is between £10 and £20. Food rating: 4, Service rating: 4, Atmosphere rating: 5. Recommended dishes include Fish and Chips and the Big Plate Special Katsu Curry. Ver carta

came here after the refurb thinking it was still the hungry horse.soo dissapointed value for money has gone . x meal was loverly cooked well but we left still hungry . its decorated amazingly .looks fab but has lost the friendlyness and atmosphere .staff were great but wont be coming back .sorry .x Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

We booked a table for 2 adults 2 kids on the 9th November, we got there and they crammed tue 4 of us on a table only big enough for 2, this ruined the experience for as. As we spent our time making sure no drinks were knocked over also I sware the lights were flickering now and then (although this could be me lol as wife didn’t notice) Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options were not labelled on the menu Price per person: £40–50

"I’d not heard of Gilligan’s before but some friends suggested it. Gluten free options are not marked on the menu but the manager came over and went through them several fish and veggie options (no meat ones on our visit which wasn’t a problem for us). All three course were spectacular. Best food I’ve eaten out for ages. Plus it’s BYO. (Note BYO alcohol only not soft drinks we made a mistake so designated driver mistakenly brought their own but had to buy from the bar not a problem). Service was good. Would definitely go back."

"I had an excellent meal for my birthday! We dined in for dinner and the price per person was around £20–30. The food and service both received a perfect score of 5, while the atmosphere was rated 4. I highly recommend the Garlic Mushrooms and Garlic Bread, along with the Mushroom Sauce and the Fish with King Prawns and Garlic. Parking was a bit challenging to find, but there are free street parking options available."

"My husband and I stopped by Moda Clothes Shop on Saturday after seeing a sign advertising the Coffee Bar/Restaurant upstairs. We were pleasantly surprised to find high quality clothes in the shop, as well as a lovely restaurant. We decided to have a meal, which turned out to be delicious and freshly cooked. The prices were very reasonable, with two meals and coffee costing under £14. It's a shame that the council has allowed the Kingsway Swansea to become a area of boarded up shops, but this little oasis is definitely worth a visit. We hope it continues to be successful as it truly deserves to be. Great shop and restaurant!"

"I've eaten here a few times with my partner and always been blown away by the food, so for my birthday this year I thought I'd arrange a meal with some friends to share the deliciousness with loved ones. Big mistake. The restaurant clearly don't want to cater for large parties (there were 12 adults and 4 kids in our group . We booked an early table at 5pm to make this easier for the restaurant and free up the space for evening diners. From the moment of our arrival we were treated with utter contempt, bits of our order never turned up, drinks took ages to arrive. When it came to leaving, we were told we had underpaid by £25 but previously the waitress had said we had completely covered before I'd even paid my portion so the £25 I paid for my meal was essential the tip (way more than 10% . The hostile manager wouldn't let us leave and insisted we pay the missing money plus a tip. After we left we checked all our receipts (though most of us paid in cash , added them up and saw we had indeed been swindled. I am genuinely devastated because I have loved eating here until this point, but I won't be going back because of the way we were treated. If you are a solo diner or couple then please do visit because the food is absolutely out of this world, but if you are a large party please avoid the awful experience I was unfortunate to have at the hands of such a grumpy man completely devoid of human kindness (who really shouldn't be front of house ."
