"Unfortunately, we were unable to sample the food and drinks that had been recommended to us. We arrived at 10am, the advertised opening time, only to find the lights off and a closed sign on the door. A staff member came out and would have ignored us if I hadn't asked about their opening time. He mentioned it was actually 10.30am, but when I pointed out that it was listed as 10am online, he simply said, "yeah, we are a bit slow today." Disappointed, we decided to take the cliff railway down to Lynmouth and enjoy a delightful breakfast at the Ancient Mariner instead."

Lovely cafe/bar. Wonderful staff, very dog friendly. Food was an absolute delight, we had a smash burger and a chicken burger. Both came with a huge pile of chips and a very generous side salad and coleslaw. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This restaurant is a wonderful spot to relax and people watch. The food and service were excellent, and the coffee was exceptional. We will definitely come back to enjoy it again. We were on holiday from Norfolk. We went in for a drink and cream tea and we weren't disappointed..the drinks and food were delicious..the staff were friendly and helpful..we enjoyed our visit and would definitely go back again if holidaying in the area.
