The Filling Station

We stopped here on a Sunday morning after a short walk mainly for a drink and some toast. Great service and drink. Will definitely return here when back in Keswick.

eating was nice, didn't have to wait long, the menu had many choices that appealed to us! the personal was pleasant. only con was it very cold inside (it was a cold februar day)

on Sunday afternoon after a bike tour to the coffee. not for one, as not always open. I ordered a coffee. not busy, but had to wait 20 minutes until it arrived, I had apparently forgotten until another customer remembered it. not good to see where only 6 people are in it. cup had coffee spots on the outside! not too impressed.

Sad to see this is no longer dog friendly. We were both looking forward to a comfy seat after our walk and, having visited before on a few occasions albeit our last a couple of years ago had thought we’d be ok here. No. Dogs...outside only so a picnic bench on the roadside for us it was. We will make sure we aim our pit stops at one of the many cafes in the area where we have been made welcome

often call them at the weekend for an all-day breakfast. the caffe is made like an American diner and has a similar theme menu, pancakes, burger, huhn as well as the famous breakfast. the ladies that run the caffe are very happy and friendly, service is fast, eating ready to order cooked. only the problem is sometimes at the biker weekend in the summer it can wait a little for eating recommended.

Often call in for an all day breakfast at the weekend. The cafe is done up like a USA style diner, and has a similarly themed menu, pancakes, burgers, chicken, as well as the famous breakfast. Readinanly price, the ladies who run the cafe are...very cheerful and friendly, service is quick, food cooked ready to order. Only issue is sometimes on biker weekend in the summer there can be a bit of a wait for food. Recommended

we called on Monday morning in filling station cafe to the breakfast and it has now been added to our list of places we visit next time near kewick! in the inner we were warmly welcomed and the service was fabulous from beginning to end. friendly, efficient and very helpful. we visited as a family of six and all enjoyed our meals. the food was absolutely delicious and the portions were enormous fantastic value for money! relaxed, family atmosphere, excellent staff and fantastic eating. I would recommend it.

We fancied a juicy burger after a long walk and whilst descending the mountain I googled our options. The Filling Station came up and looked good. So glad we decided to give it a go. Such a warm welcome on arrival and a nice, chatty...atmosphere inside. Simple but substantial menu, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our burgers, milkshakes and drinks. Leftover milkshake was happily given to us by the lovely lady behind the bar a small gesture but really appreciated. Looks like it gets good trade all day, and so it should. Would recommend and certainly come back when next in the Lakes.

I'd heard people mention The Filling Station and decided to visit it today.. Firstly it is a former filling station and car showroom converted into a diner with photos to remind older diners when it was Crosthwaite Garage. Also as the restaurant is biker friendly,...with parking spaces for motorbikes outside, there is plenty of bike memorabilia regarding the Isle Of Man TT. For people arriving by car, The Filling Station is 100 yards from the A66 and has free parking outside, another bonus. Secondly, while not the most memorable meal I've had, the cheeseburger, chips and coleslaw was decent value at 10.50 and my cappucino was 2.60, again good value in Keswick. The staff were very friendly an...
