I am currently sitting in this wonderful fish and chip shop with my husband having consumes gluten free fish, chips and beans. It was beyond delicious and a joy for a coeliac to find. Thank you, The Fish and Chip Shop!

Ordered 1 large Cod and a medium Haddock plus medium chips…price £17.50 Both pieces of fish contained far too much batter and hardly any fish….portion size of the chips adequate at best… Overrated…won’t be back,waste of money…

I like this place. The staff are nice. The customers waiting are generally in a good mood, its clean ! and if you ask nicely they will always try and cater to your taste. So I like my chips extra crispy and whenever ive asked them to do this they have been happy to oblige.

I've been coming here since it opened and I have never been disappointed. I'm 16 miles away, yet my food is always still hot when I got it home. The food is consistently good which is remarkable considering potatoes change throughout the year. Matt and his team do a great job and I commend their efforts. The gluten free range is incredible and I can't wait for my next visit.

I love fish and chips , my local one (Broadwater crescent) was closed so decided to go to the best be reviews and after open package I realised I received dry almost empty batter.I usually have nice chunky cod in lovely crispy batter but that was nowhere close ,would not go again as I hate to ruin my food experience and that really was low quality , wast money, waste journey, waste space in my stomach, never again

Far and away the best fish and chips I’ve EVER had, bar none. Beats The SeaShell of Lisson Grove and the two we ate at in Whitby a few years ago which many claim are the best. I love the fact that they’ve kept the quality high and never slipped as so many do after building up loyal clientele. Crisp batter, perfectly cooked fish (please try haddock if you’re a cod fan, you’ll never go back) and we love the chips here as well. Always amazed when people mark this place down even though they are usually people with one review, but then I remember my first review here when it first opened, it wasn’t great but shows that everyone can have an off day, or even just off portion it’s never happened in...
