In comparison to many other fish and chippys, this has by far the best prepared and cooked fish.

This is a great takeaway shop with delicious fish and chipsThey subscribe to the "do one thing well" philosophy, which I appreciate.

by advice of nearby shopkeeper i stopped in and it was a wonderful crisp cod, good oil, not too oily, chips were fresh and crisp enough, cod was thick and flavorful.

There was some delay in order-taking. Truth is, this year (I've been going there for the last 5 years), I found it in a somewhat lesser degree of quality. I don't think I'll be going again.

I truly don't get the rave reviews--maybe it was just April. We had reservations and we waited forever to get our order taken. I would guess it took 40 plus minutes to get fish and chips! They weren't that great anyways. The fish was just OK and the fries were lukewarm and greasy. Wont be back.

Been going to this fish shop for a few years. Used to go 3 times a month but hadn’t been for a while so thought we would treat ourselves. When we went in we realised it was new owners as we were usually greeted at the door but nope we were ignored, so we just went upstairs to sit down, there were 2 women working up there who just had their backs to us and it took me to say “excuse me can we order” the look I got when she come over was rude. When food came it wasn’t up to the standard we used to have in there. I said to my husband I didn’t enjoy that meal for what we paid and found them very ignorant, I definitely won’t return, which is a shame as used to enjoy eating in there.

Probably the poorest take away we have been to in a very long time. The guys behind the counter looked so fed up and could hardly mutter a response. Was tempted by the idea of good old bag of chips while we wandered Notting Hill; so Ordered what was advertised as a Jumbo Saveloy and large chips which was £7.60. Firstly the saveloy was no more jumbo than any other, at £3.50 a complete joke and barely warm. Then the large chips at £4.10 smaller than the small at most F&C 's. The chips certainly weren 't fresh, tasting like they had already been re heated then been left to sit. I would guess if they weren 't were they were located they probably wouldn 't get the business they do. Ver carta
