"This past spring, my dad, brother, brother-in-law and I got away to London for a mancation to see some football games and take in the city. It was my brother's first time visiting London and the rest of us were ready to break him into the British pub scene. Our hotel was near Regent's Park and we discovered The Ship pretty much by fate, meaning it was the closest pub that was open at the time. The obvious nautical theme aside, The Ship is a very traditional pub with an old wood bar and shiny brass knobs everywhere. It appeared to be owned by an older couple and a young girl was also working at the bar, possibly the granddaughter? All were very nice and didn't mind that we were the token dumb Americans at the bar. I'll always remember The Ship because I'm pretty sure we single handedly introduced a drink that nobody in the ENTIRE bar had ever heard of: the Irish Car Bomb. This perplexed me to no end. Isn't Ireland, like, 10 minutes from there? The young bartender and I had a 10 minute exchange that went something like this: Me: OK, first you have to pour a shot with half Bailey's and half Jameson, then you pour... Barmaid: (interrupting Wait, what? In the same glass?? (attempts to pour two separate shots Me: No, pour those babies into the same crib. This is gonna be good, TRUST ME. Barmaid: Ummmm...(looking at granddad for approval ..OK...This looks disgusting. Me: Oh, and you're gonna do one with us, so make one more. Barmaid: Ewwww! No way. Me: Just do it, I swear you're gonna freak, it's so good. (The Guinness is poured. Much haggling, describing, hand gesturing ensues. Me: So?? Barmaid: OMG, that was actually delicious! Did you just make that up? Me: (say it, say it! ...Yes I did. I won't even describe how hard it was for them to figure out what to charge us. By that time I'm pretty sure they just wanted us to leave."

Good beer, good tunes, great bar staff and a sense of welcoming bonhomie that's lacking in so many Zone 1 pubs. I would go out of my way to have a pint at this place, and you should too. Ver carta

Banh Mi Town in London never fails to impress with their delicious and fresh banh mi sandwiches. The quality of the meat used is evident in every bite, making it one of my top choices for banh mi in the city.

We stopped in for a quick afternoon drink. There was one other person in there. The bartender was nice. The place is comfortable. The toilet is upstairs by a beautiful room that you can rent out. We didn't eat anything but I seem to remember there was thai food on the menu.

ordered small size beef pho and spring rolls. my pho was kinda sliced into small pieces, which was not very satisfying; beef could definitely use some extra pieces as well but I did order small so no more complaints. the soup was tasty but it did not leave the thirsty feeling a lot of places would do! which is very decent. spring rolls were solid enough. food was served swiftly. a small but busy place. This is a delicious and reasonably priced Vietnamese fast food restaurant. The interior is small, but the banh mi sandwiches are a good size and filled with flavorful pork (highly recommended). If you have time to sit down, you'll see that the restaurant isn't designed for lingering, but the staff is friendly. The seating may not be the most comfortable, but be sure to try their hearty pho if you decide to dine in.

after two hours waiting to be seen by my orthopedic surgeon, I had the most delicious lunch! that was my first time when I tried a Vietnamese sandwich by banh mi, and those in banh mi town were not disappointed. I had a half with chicken satay and a half with bbq pork. both lubricated amazing! the right Vietnamese brot really made the sandwich special; crispy on the outside, super soft on the inside. combined with the crumb of the gurke and carrot, and the sweet skill of the meat, it was simply great! if they are close to the warren street in central london, make them safe in banh mi on the hanson street, w1w 6ts and try one of their delicious bunh mi sandwiches!

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
