The Fountain Inn - Carta

I visit this pub every six months or so with my sister and brother in law, they know us there now, good value, and decent size meals...

I have only stopped by The Fountain on my way back from West Wales to the West Midlands. It's a perfect pit stop for me, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The menu looks delicious and I plan on trying it out soon. I also loved the Halloween pumpkins on the bar, a nice touch!

Wednesday night at this restaurant is Steak Night, and only £12! The meal was excellent, with fantastic service from the bar staff who were very friendly. The chef's cooking was outstanding and the dishes were beautifully presented. Make sure to book in advance as it is a popular spot and gets very busy! Ver carta

Family weekend away for a special birthday. Absolutely fabulous weekend. Staff had their work cut out as were 16 of us in total. Old to young plus pets. Very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful food on both days. Excellent team at The Fountain. Thank you for making it all go smoothly. Would highly recommend.

Lovely pub that serves lovely, freshly cooked food. Really busy so service was a little slow, but the food makes up for it. We hosted twice on our travels and had no complaints at all about the freshly cooked, hot food. It was delicious, it is clearly a popular place so book if you don't want to be disappointed (we were lucky to get a table the 2nd evening)

Food and Drinks: The menu at this restaurant is brilliant! For the first time ever, I found that I could have eaten every item on the menu. The food was really delicious and the staff did a fantastic job catering for over 100 guests on the day of our visit. Highly recommended! Great little historic Inn. Rooms are newly built in a lovely courtyard authentication rear. Plenty of hot water, kettle and drinks in room which was spacious and clean. Food good in Bar for evening dinner, breakfast substantial but a bit greasy. Enjoyed a one night stay in a nice part of the country and host and staff very obliging. Bathroom could do with work as there has obviously been flooding from Bath screen but otherwise OK.

I stayed at this restaurant for 3 nights and had a pleasant experience. It was good value for the money and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere in the pub was relaxed. I would definitely stay here again. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the accommodation, while clean, was a bit outdated. I am sure this will be improved once they have the funds available. Running a pub business is not easy!

A lovely 'Tudor era ' building which has been maintained beautifully. Great ambience, lovely staff and good value meals. We stayed overnight, the rooms are located in a separate block behind the main pub very comfortable with complimentary toiletries tea/coffee making facilities . Only one tiny complaint about the room the beds are Queen size BUT the fitted bottom sheet was at best King size !!!! Very annoying,uncomfortable and unnecessary the bottom sheet ended up in a crumpled heap in the middle of the bed by morning!! Other than that, a fabulous place to stay; in very picturesque surroundings. Would definitely recommend Ver carta
