"The service is always a bit hit and miss but we used to forgive this because we loved the food. I've even left them a Review before. However we now have a dog and I emailed them three times to check if dogs are...welcome, as there are in most places in Norfolk and they never got back to me. In the end I called and the Oh no style and tone of response made me feel as if I had asked if I could poop in the bar (I kid you not) I asked if they wee allowed outside and got an I suppose so Anyway, was dog free and meeting an old friend for lunch. When I called I wasn't told that, yes lunch at was fine but they would be very keen to get us out by or I would have booked elsewhere. They have never been known for a warm welcome but when you can get the staff's attention they are friendly but it is often difficult to do so as they seem to prefer to chat to drinkers at the bar, or each other. Definitely not recommended for a leisurely lunch and catch up as they couldn't wait to get us out of the door. Food was still OK but the menu has changed a lot and it wasn't as good as it has been previously. Sadly we won't be back."

We came with a group of friends. We haven't been for a while. Food was plentiful and well presented. The lamb skewers were lovely and the burgers were huge. You really don't need a starter, as I found out! I think they like you to...leave by as we were asked if we wanted the bill. We declined as wanted to enjoy eve. That's the only criticism.

I ordered takeout for New Year's Eve and arrived a few minutes early. They were just finishing boxing up my food, which was very well packaged for travel and still piping hot. The dessert was still chilled when I got home. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. I will definitely be going back again and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Ver carta

I recently dined at The Fox and tried the festive club sandwich, which I had been excited to try ever since seeing it on Facebook. I was not disappointed, it was absolutely delicious and highly recommended! A friend had the steak and said it was the best they had ever eaten. The food was great and the waitress was lovely and friendly. Overall, a fantastic experience.

After a morning out, we decided to have lunch at The Fox. The staff was welcoming and quick to assist. The lunch menu was extensive, with options ranging from steak to ploughman's to sausage and melted cheese baguette. I opted for the buttermilk chicken wrap and we also ordered a side of bacon fries. The drinks were served promptly, with a good ale for me, followed by our food. The dishes were well presented and delicious, with generous portions. The pizzas on other tables looked beautiful as well. This is not your usual pub food - it is top quality, served with pride by a friendly staff that creates a great atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.
