A charming and welcoming gem in the Nottinghamshire countryside. Both the food and service are exceptional. They are dog-friendly, and the menu features classic pub favorites as well as unique dishes that you might not prepare at home.

I absolutely love this place! It's a charming country pub with a quaint, cozy atmosphere. The stylish outdoor area is relaxing, and there's a fantastic play area for the kids, making it perfect for the whole family. We've performed at several weddings here over the years, and I can't recommend it enough, whether you're just stopping in for a drink and a meal or planning to host your wedding party. It's definitely a must-visit!

The food was incredibly fresh, reminiscent of home cooking, and beautifully presented. The pie of the day, along with the pan-fried liver and bacon, was absolutely delicious. The desserts were not only tasty but also well presented. I will definitely be returning. The staff were attentive, and the pub had a lovely, warm, and friendly atmosphere. I recommend booking a table in advance. As for parking, it was busy, but I managed to find a spot. Price per person was around £40–50, and I rate the food a solid 5 out of 5.

Apart from the food poisoning my wife suffered, which, in my considered opinion, was the fault of the pate she ate, as she'd had nothing to eat all day long, it's a nice place. Nice log fire, friendly staff, just take great care what you have to eat. If the landlady had been fair, reasonable, and concerned, after I reported the poisoning to her, then I wouldn't have bothered leaving this review but she wasn't and point blank refused to accept any responsibility whatsoever.
