"Booked a table for 20 people 6 weeks ago for yesterday night (Saturday 14th), I was contacted several times Friday night to sort out preorders for 20 people whilst I was in work (why this couldn’t have been mentioned when I booked I don’t know), only to turn up with the full party last night with balloons and a cake for the restaurant to be closed due to electrical fault, despite having my contact details I hadn’t been made aware of this issue. Luckily we were able to fit into another restaurant and the night wasn’t ruined. Me and my boyfriend used to visit regularly but after the poor customer service we’ve received we won’t be visiting again any time soon."

"Don 't bother! The attitude on the staff is absolutely disgusting, The food also dreadful My partner paid an extra £1 for cheese on a burger which they forgot and when he told a waitress she brought out a plate of two freezing plastic looking slices on a plate and dumped them down, The kitchen staff also shouted here go and take him his two slices of cheese which everyone heard, His burger wasn 't cooked through and my gammon had a slight tang He didn 't eat any of his burger and the waitresses seemed more keen on going for cigarettes and gossiping, As we left we left full plates nobody asked if there was a problem, All the waitresses were sat around a table and went silent as we passed them and then giggled as we moved passed them! Mother 's Day was an absolute disgrace with dessert being served as we ate our mains and we 're told to hurry up! Both times we didn 't speak up as we knew we would have a ear full Tables were filthy aswell. We won 't be back!!!"

"Myself and two guests had a nice meal at Wetherspoons Aberdare and the free refills of tea, coffee and chocolate are a nice touch. It was quite busy when we were there but the service was great, the staff were friendly and efficient, We didn't have to wait long for our food. It was an enjoyable visit and good value for money. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access is around the back through the beer garden. Price per person: £20–30"

"we were in the premier inn and had arranged a meal deal. we had these before located at others and found them pretty good, saving on looking for a restaurant for a ride. here they had to order at the bar instead of normal. Table service. Luckily, the place was almost empty, as the bar of a girl who was busy, it was an untidy chap, possibly manager, and an intelligent helpful younger chap. we were aware that some surcharges would apply, but could not find any information on the website that we would have given a flyer of premier inn, one of the drinks options was j2o, but just a taste available! I asked for a pint of doom bar, but she said she had no bottles and when I pointed out that the hand pump was said that didn't work. ordered 2 roundp steaks medium, they were well done and like old boots. the cadbury nibbles dessert was ok. in future I will visit a local pub or restaurant"

"Having been a regular at the Glancynon in its heyday I think it's fair to say that the Glan is back. We've popped in on the last two weekends and have been served very high quality food and drink. A great pub and restaurant which is again serving its local community and beyond. Anyone thinking of popping in, I'd encourage you to do so and I'm guessing there'll soon be a waiting list just like the good old days! Well done to the new team at the Glan see you soon!!"
