The room was extremely clean and had an excellent carvery. The rooms were very clean and had comfortable beds, as well as an excellent tea and coffee tray. I would rate the rooms at a 5, the service at a 5, and the location at a 4.

amazing eating, carvery was delicious with loads of choice and self service that I prefer. absolutely delightful staff, so welcoming, great service, we were very well looked after. four stars instead of five, as the toilets and seating areas might have been more beautiful, but in any case come back

This is a fantastic place to eat. Beautiful food, excellent service from David. One of our party was Vegan and there was nothing too much trouble, they even prepared vegetables without the honey graze. We would definitely recommend it and we would visit again, if we did not live in Scotland. But if we are in the area we will. Over 55's get reduced rate on Thursdays. Ver carta

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend whilst attending Harrogate Woodworking show. Lovely location and ample parking, warm welcome and attentive, friendly staff. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Bed was a tad softer than I'm used to but that didn't stop me having two great nights sleep! On saturday evening we tried the carvery and were certainly not disappointed, two perfectly cooked meats, a whopping Yorkshire pudding, veg and lashings of gravy. I thoroughly recommend this place for your short stay in the Harrogate area. 5 stars

absolutely fantastic hotel to stay. david was so welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout our stay. one of the best hostess I had to stay with. the room was really cozy and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. what the food at the carvery. wow, absolutely amazing. I look forward to the carvery since I made the booking and it was not disappointed. large pieces of meat and really delicious and fresh vegetables to go with it. will definitely be back in the future and I would recommend to everyone. again many thanks for a great stay edit: I forgot to mention the other employees were very friendly and helpful, especially the waitress, I think her name was jess. very polite, professional...

The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained, but unfortunately that's where the positive aspects end. I had pre-booked 3 rooms for 5 adults at £80 per room, but we were not allowed to check in until 4:30pm. We arrived an hour early hoping to grab a meal at the George and Carvery, but they had stopped serving at 2:30pm. The landlord wouldn't let us in until exactly 4:30pm, and we had to pay for the rooms immediately. The drinks were pricey and there was no breakfast offered, not even continental. I spoke to the manager who seemed to be aware of the issues but didn't seem concerned. Overall, it was a disappointment and felt more like a B without the B&B experience. Food and drinks were ex...
