this is the first visit here on the recommendation of friends, What a lovely old pub service and food were excellent which we all [4] thoroughly enjoyed. We shall certainly visit again

This is one of the best Norfolk pubs for food quality. price and service. The staff are charming and are always helpfull and happy. We will be back for more! Keep up the work. Just fab.

This lovely thatched pub and restaurant is out in the countryside away from bustling roads. Very peaceful location, warm welcome, good choice on the menu and quick, efficient service. Good quality food, not stingy on portions.

We had dinner here this evening and it was a great experience. The two meals we had (Ribs and Steak Kidney Pudding) were excellent and the portion sizes huge. Great value. Friendly staff too in what is a pleasant dining environment. 10 out of ten from us. Recommended.

We had an amazing time.We were greeted by two members of chatty, welcoming staff Sophie and Sam) and a scrumptious menu with a wide variety of foods for the whole family. The food came quickly after our order and tasted amazing.The portions were a very pleasant size, and I was neither under or overwhelmed. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to families,friends, and couples alike.The staff and food were utterly lovely.

We visited The Goat following a recommendation from the owner of the studio we were staying in in Buxton. We both had burgers, which were lovely and big portions! We were so impressed we went back the following night. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. We wished we were staying longer so we could try more of the menu. For big appetites, go for the steak and kidney pudding. It beat me and I'm a big lad. All this and dog friendly.

We made a last-minute decision for Sunday lunch and were given the option of seating in two areas. We chose to sit in the area with jazz music playing. It was a very pleasant experience. We ordered roast turkey, pork, and beef, and all the portions were generous. The only drawback was that the roast potatoes were not crispy enough for my liking, although they were still tasty. The staff were friendly and the prices were very reasonable - we were able to enjoy 4 roast dinners and 6 drinks for just over £100. Thank you for a great meal.

We stayed here in our campervan (very reasonable £18 including hook up and full facilities) on a Saturday night. Took advantage of the electric hookup on a cld February night. We were met by happy cheerful lady who advised us on facilities etc. we decided it was to cold and late to cook so went into the restaurant for a couple pints of Adnams which were delicious followed by seriously stacked burgers ... All delivered by yet again a smiling young waitress. Everything about the place was top notch and highly recommended by this happy camper

Have not been for a while so was looking forward to dinner today and can say we were not disappointed we had the roast beef, meat was tender and well cooked veg, potatoes delicious and Yorkshire pudding lovely ordered the kids portion for our 6yr who munched her way through it perfect size and well presented (same as ours rather than an after thought). Next for dessert what can I say we had the cheesecake and it was so good we ordered an extra two to take home!!!!! Creamy, full of flavour biscuit base spot on ! They we’re busy it’s was Mothers Day staff were polite, helpful and accommodating we will be back and might just order an entire cheesecake!!!
