used to be excellent before it was sold to new owners around 2 years ago, i think they must have an Iranian cook , so poor now.

Two coarse meal starter and main brilliant food across the board for a table of six , service is second to none . Highly recommend

Twice recently we have had takeaway from here both times we both had upset stomachs for 3 days afterwards. We won't be buying from here again.

Food was ok.Used to be the best Chinese in town but not anymore. Portion size has got smaller price has got higher. We now pay £5 to have it delivered from Lyme Regis.

We ordered take away and the food was very nice with portions big enough to feed us. We had 3 different noodles chow mein and dim sum. We also received prawn crackers as an extra. Thank you

What a lovely little restaurant, food was fantastic and the staff very friendly. We were the only ones in the restaurant, which was unbelievable, but the takeaway was very busy. I would recommend to any of my friends, this was the best oriental restaurant I have ever been. Thank you for our lovely chat and for the gorgeous food.

Visited with friends on a Monday evening, an all round great experience. Friendly staff and attentive service, lovely food, we had the dim-sum, seafood wrap and squid starters which were all really tasty and a variety of meat, seafood and vegetarian main courses which again were really lovely. We all agreed one of the best Chinese meals we've eaten out for a long time and we would definitely return.

Have been using Golden House for around 35 years, which has been very consistent for the first 30. In recent years it's been a little hit and miss. Mostly okay though. Ordered takeaway online and collected on time. Unfortunately one egg fried rice was missing. Not the first time this has happened but decided to email them this time to mention it, hoping for a reply and resolution. Nothing heard 4 days later. Aside from the lack of rice, the meal itself was really salty, specifically the special pancake rolls and the curry. And this is coming from someone who likes salt on their food.
