"Popped in with my Wife and 2 children for an early tea last week. The chap behind the bar was brilliant. He couldn't have made us feel more welcome and couldn't have done enough for us. We ordered 2 meals from the set 2 for £12 menu and 1 from the specials board. Everything was lovely. The giant Yorkshire we had were clearly homemade...where as most would use frozen and the whole meal was tasty and great value for money. All the veg was fresh as well. My daughter had a cracking pudding too. All in all our experience was spot on. Such a nice alternative to the usual chain pub menus we see so much these days. Well worth a visit! We'll be back!!"

my parents eat here when they come to ripon, so my dad wanted us to try. had a nice Sunday evening dinner and dessert large food portion size, welcome bar staff and Fab service from waiting staff thank you very much

Just had a lovely meal here, spot on, being very busy, Stuart did a Stirling job, serving behind the bar as well as serving on the tables, very friendly, helpful and did It all with a smile and good sense of humour. Well done Stuart.

beautiful pub. beautiful staff. nice eating. we came away for the weekend in maturity and came only for a pint that went back to chippy, but saw the Sunday dinners and could not resist, they looked out and melt beautifully. So we ditched the chippy and ordered Sunday evening dinner, so glad we did, it was beautiful. bark meat was cooked to perfection and so were the carrots. partner had pork and said it was nice and veg was boiled place on. they come back when we're ever back in the rib.
