"Got to the pub one afternoon after walking back from Blackpool Sands and fancied a drink. Knew that the pub closed at and it was about so didn't think we would get served. Chap clearing up outside realised our disappointment and asked if we only wanted a drink he could serve us with one as long as we didn't mind sitting outside didn't as it was a lovely sunny day. Thank you. I had a quick look inside and now feel cheated that we hadn't gone in there for a meal; it looked lovely."

We were in Stoke Fleming for the week in November and dropped by the pub 3 times for dinner (including a Sunday roast). Each time the food was hearty and delicious, the fire roaring, and the staff friendly and welcoming. This is clearly a thriving local hub plenty of energy about the place. Love to see it!
