The Greenman - Carta

The green man was booked for this lunch. I am in a wheelchair and we have a large dog and this pub made everything perfect. The location was perfect with easy entrance and landlord very welcoming. The food was simple but great. Definitely going again

I had to write a review! This was our first time visiting this pub, and I have to say the food was fantastic. We went for Fish Friday, but we didn't realize it was served in a take-out box or for dining in. So we decided to pay extra for china plates.

Stopped here while seeing the sights of Dorset. Super lunch and drinks at very reasonable prices. Enjoyed a ploughman’s with good quality cheese and gammon. Great Wadworth beers on draft. A very warm, welcoming and friendly bar woman served us and topped off our visit. Ver carta

Was so surprised by the Morris dancers in the car park the two nights we stayed across the road, made a great couple of days really special, staff at the green man was really friendly the dancers made my nieces day as they allowed her to join in on her wedding day, a day we will never forget xx

I visited here with my family for a spot of lunch whilst travelling to Monkey World and it was spot on. It's a lovely quaint little pub with a friendly barman and delicious food. I had a cheese and ham toastie on brown bread and the ham was to die for. We also all shared a bowl of chips and they were cooked to perfection. Now we know it's here we'll be visiting again!

Took mum and dad for a roast as they were visiting from Spain, and missing roast dinners. Have visited before with my other half and our dog for a drink sitting outside or a quick baguette, but never Sunday lunch or inside. Safe to say after todays visit we will be back for Sunday lunch! Great staff, lovely food, nice wine, great price and all local produce. Really just a nice quaint friendly pup where everyone is welcome. Thanks to all the staff! Ver carta

We were travelling back home and drove past the Green Man and decided to stop for a drink, but seeing the excellent menu we decided to stay, sit outside in the sunshine and being a Sunday, order a Sunday Lunch great portion sizes (I had the smaller meal option), plus a dessert added on for just an extra £2! The Roast was proper 'home cooked ' and had a good range of veg, beef and lovely gravy the desserts were awesome and generous portions my husband had the lovely apple crumble and custard and I had the Dorset Apple Cake and ice cream, absolutely delicious! We will be back, a reasonably priced treat, thank you!

We had a warm welcome from our bar staff and waitress who showed us to our clean table with sticky food free menu's. (Quite often I find the menus in most pubs are tasting menus, as in you can sample most of the items on the menu just by giving it a lick)! I had the Greenman burger which was amazing, my wife had the ploughmans which she thoroughly enjoyed and Mum had the burger which went down a treat, all in all the 5* reviews that I had read were right, this pub is excellent. Great food, great ale and lovely staff that know how to look after its clientele, not much more to add really except I will certainly be going back.

Might seem strange to start a review of the Green Man by mentioning the Landlady of a different pub in Wimborne.. However, the Odd Fellows Arms does not do Sunday lunch and she reccomend The Green Man., even showed us the way. The Green Man is a 5 minute walk from the Minster and well worth it. Obviously we hadn't booked but the charming lady behind the bar found us a table. Good Menu with reasonable prices. We opted for Sunday Roasts with apple crumble for dessert, very nice. Total price for 2 including coffees £29. Add on two really good waitresses and we couldn't fault this experience. Would we reccomend? Definitely. Would we come again ? Definitely. Ver carta
