"I stayed at the greyhound coaching Inn last week as a business trip I was starting a new job and didn’t know the area very well. I picked it due to the charming photos of the garden online and it is just as nice in person! The inn has a relaxed atmosphere in the evening in the bar. I got to my room and it was full of character and very cozy all the facilities were clean and tidy and perfect for a short stay if you are travelling through. Breakfast was served in the morning and all the staff in the restaurant were attentive and there was good choice for vegetarians. I checked out and everything was fine until I found myself unable to book a taxi book in advance if you need one in rush hour) and no Ubers were in the area to take me in for my first day. I was panicking and upset but the staff at reception were amazing and helped to calm me down and solve my problem I was completely out of my depth in a new area and everyone at the coaching in went above and beyond to make me feel welcome! I cannot reccomend this place it’s staff and amazing owner enough, It’s great value for money with the breakfast included and always great to support an independent business! Thank you to the staff at the Carlton for making my first day a bit less stressful"

The staff was friendly, the food was excellent, the accommodations were top-notch, and COVID precautions were taken seriously. I felt well taken care of and overall everything was superb. I will definitely be returning.

Room over furnished. Carpet dirty. Dirty marks on walls. All surfaces seems in need of cleaning. Bathroom toilet, basin and bath clean but everything else needed cleaning. Extractor fan not working and shower VERY poor. Mastic needs replacing. Breakfast mediocre. Price of stay high.

We were not disappointed once again at the Greyhound. After the impact of COVID on the hospitality industry, we decided to return to this unique hotel. The hotel is full of history and charm, perfect for those seeking character. We enjoyed a nice meal in the bar area and found the staff to be pleasant. Thank you for another wonderful stay!

We booked the restaurant for a private event. The hot food and sandwiches were really tasty and good value per person. Their was unlimited tea, coffee and water and also cakes. They also catered for vegetarian and celiac. The staff were efficient at cleaning up, replacing crockery and topping up the drinks. There is a bar in the next room. Ver carta

Stopped at The Greyhound to break a very long car journey. Ideally located very close to the M1 exit this hotel delivered all we could have asked for. Lovely evening drink in the courtyard. Excellent evening meal. Room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff especially those on reception were charming and very efficient. We will be back.

We reserved the Greyhound restaurant for a special meal in their "Christina" function room for 30 people. The room was elegantly arranged for us and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The food was outstanding, with both meat and vegetarian options for our two courses. Several members of our group also stayed overnight and were very pleased with the accommodations. We are eagerly anticipating our next visit to the Greyhound.

Decided to go back to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary where we had stayed and had our wedding reception in 2013. Unfortunately, there was little to no customer service on arrival and leaving didn't even say goodbye. There was no option to stay and eat in the restaurant or bar as there was no vegan dishes on the menu which was disappointing for us. Our beautiful four poster room was like being in a boiler room due to the noises from the building's heating, water and fan extractor systems. The duvet cover was ripped at the bottom. On the whole I could go on but the reality is it was disappointing and we expected better. Ver carta

As a couple we are used to staying in high end hotels, and the Greyhound isn’t, but it was lovely! Very quirky and furnished in keeping with period, so if you prefer clean lines and minimal furniture this could send you a bit OCD. It’s old but that’s what it is an old build, with history! If you want the experience of a historical building they have done it well and the bed was so comfortable. We had everything we needed and if there was anything, they were happy to help. Located right in the centre of Lutterworth, which is helpful for local amenities. The staff were great too, if we are back in the area we would come again.

After a long and very wet motorcycle ride. We were welcomed in a lovely friendly manner by a lovely lady on the reception and made to feel at home. Our room the 4 poster) was very comfortable and full of character note this is a very old traditional coaching Inn so understandable and expected that some things are not 21 st century which was lovely). Excellent Wi-Fi together with tea and coffee making facilities. The Inns bar was clearly popular with friendly locals and again comfortable and with friendly service. Unfortunately we did not get to use the restaurant on our first night Saturday) as we had already made plans and on Sunday night the restaurant is closed. I think we may have missed...

"I visited my daughter and son-in-law last week and on my request they had booked a table for us on black horse on Saturday night at 1 o'clock. we arrived shortly before the pm and all four of us stood in the bar where two were served. it wasn't busy. no one told us anything until the bar was clear and then one of the ladies looked at me and I said we booked a table in my name of my daughter and she saw the bookings and said oh yes, we had table assigned and pointed into another room. there was no greeting no smiling, so we met our way to the table and sat there. there were no menus on the table, so I stood up to find some and someone only made their way from the other room in the direction of our table. we ordered drinks that were in themselves a task, as they had no free or dietary limmonade, so I had to go to the end for a gin with slimline tonic. then we ordered four different meal times. I ordered a vegetarian curry in naanbrot and when it finally came, I was so disappointed because the naanbrot was burned and the curry was cold on the outside, so I asked them to take it back. the waitress asked if I wanted to order something else and I went back. my daughter then shared some of her meals with me, who were chicken pupils. they were coated in a teig that was extremely fat. the menu does not seem to come out of any meal with fresh vegetables, everything seemed to come with chips and draughts, even the Steak-Mahl came only with chips and draughts, no mushrooms, tomatoes, wobble rings or something. I wasn't impressed. for a pub that wants good reviews, I think they have lost the property. the customer service is everything and fresh vegetables is essential. I'm sorry to be the bearer worse, but we won't come back."
