We visited for lunch and the food dishes we had ranged from very poor to mediocre. My wife’s parmesan and pea risotto resembled a thick stodgy porridge and was inedible. To make matters worse, the young man who was serving us had a really bad attitude when I checked to make sure we weren’t being charged for the risotto. Will not be returning. Five of us enjoyed lunch on October 28th and had a fantastic experience. We ordered from the senior citizens' menu, which was an excellent value at £12.95 for three courses. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff were very helpful in a pleasant setting. I have to give five stars for the chips! We will certainly be back. I felt compelled to write a review for Stuart and Sarah because our experience at this pub was truly one of the best we've ever had. The service was exceptional—helpful and friendly at every turn. The food is simply outstanding, cooked to perfection, especially the steaks, and the personal service made it even better. We can confidently say that we will definitely be returning! This is a well-maintained, clean pub with incredible food.

Now, let's talk about the food. The roast was outstanding; everything was cooked perfectly, and there was a wonderful selection of vegetables. I know many other pubs could learn a thing or two from the Griffin about how to run a pub restaurant effectively. The desserts were just as impressive. Overall, it was an excellent value meal and a real gem for us. We definitely plan to return soon, and this time we’ll make an effort to arrive on time. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team!

A typical English pub nestled in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. A select daily menu with a well priced senior citizens 3 course choice but lots of specials on the boards. Food was decent and the vegetables were freshly cooked and crunchy. Service was passable. Tied it once and ticked a box but I will provably venture elsewhere next time.
