the evening dinner here for the first time last weekend and was a great experience. very friendly and helpful waiting staff and eating was delicious. it is clear that they use fresh and local ingredients, but they keep the prices affordable. overall would recommend especially in summer as they have a beautiful garden!

First time visiting wont be the last : Lovely food staff, met the owner she such a lovely lass. Food was great TRY THEIR CHUTNEY YOU WON'T REGRET IT !! Dessert I couldn't pick out from chocolate brownie or tiramisu so I got both both was great but for me tiramisu was the winner. We went for my hen do last week : My friends booked the outside area. It was decorated really lovely for me! The food was fab and they had made an extra effort to produce a vegan menu. I had an avocado salad, caluliflower steak and tasty desert, all vegan and it was lovely! Staff where lovely and friendly and they made some fab cocktails, also the chef came out to see us which was really sweet. Thankyou so much for the lovely evening and all the effort put in. I dined with a large group, which may have been too big for the kitchen to manage efficiently, resulting in several delays. While some dishes were really well prepared, others fell a bit short. I’d suggest this restaurant is more suitable for smaller groups, ideally up to four people. The staff were courteous, and I personally enjoyed my meal—especially the squid, which was cooked perfectly. The cost per person was around £30–40. I was two thoughts whether I should recommend this restaurant, the first selfish reason was that I would be able to easily get a table whenever I wanted, and recommended would mean more customers, excellent for the grill, not so excellent for us! I feel that I have to book a lot in advance as this place is so good. Quite a puzzling visit after reading all the good reviews. The welcome and the staff were very friendly and attentive, service was fast and the food fresh and hot. However, it seemed to us that there was a lack of passion in terms of aesthetics and flavours. We both had the roast veg tart served with sautéed potatoes and fine beans and it was exactly that nothing else, dry. We had to ask for some mayo and garlic butter to jazz it up a bit and then it was probably on par with a lunch you might get in a cafe at a gallery or nature reserve.
