We had a wonderful dinner last night with fantastic service from genuinely friendly staff. It was perfect for our 4-year-old daughter, who absolutely loved the pig-shaped pizza! Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

Wasn't the most inviting place I have ever been, felt like I was intruding when asking for a couple of pints of the same ale... probably more atmosphere buying beers from tesco and sitting at the train station. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

On the site it is specified that everyone can come and that if there is no place we will be made to wait at the bar until a table becomes available but this is not the case. The upstairs dining room was closed. We were told there was no room and goodbye. One man alone occupied 6 places. The reception does not correspond at all to what was announced.

We visited Fort William in September and absolutely loved Grog Gruel. They serve the best cider, particularly the Thistly Cross whisky cask variety, and you can even buy it in bottles to take home. Our favorite bartender was Jay—he was very friendly and excellent at his job! We only enjoyed food and drinks downstairs, but everything we had was outstanding. We can't wait to return! Four of us came here for dinner after hiking Nevis. Took 25mins to get our food. Didn’t take photos, but food looked similar to several other reviews here. Cajun chicken was aggressively seasoned, mild spiciness and slightly over cooked but still tasted good. Two people ordered steak stout. Meat was tender and a tad salty. Forth member had the steak pie and said it was savoury and tender! Restaurant seating upstairs was closed. Pub style seating downstairs. Ver carta
