"We visited the Foundry Arms tonight while staying nearby for a few nights. I called around 3:30 PM, and they were able to accommodate us with a table for four at 6 PM. When we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly! The food was delicious, and my daughter actually finished everything on her plate, which is quite rare! The service was prompt, and our main waitress was exceptionally friendly. The pub had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. We would definitely return if we're in the area again. Thank you for having us! x"

"Amazing worth eating fantastic, as much as we eat here for breakfast daily, had afternoon tea (total amazing together with a few evening meal). only the word of the intention is prepared to overthrow their nutrition when they eat here: never disappointed by the food or our greeting from sean, tina and all staff. obic don't forget the security chief, we miss you already. keep the good work, they will all see again very soon, pat martin x"

"I booked here after searching for dog friendly, gluten free friendly and good food. Focussing on the good stuff, booking confirmed both dogs and GF accommodated. Very friendly on arrival. Very lovely building and interior. The dog friendly area was lovely. On the menu dishes were identified with GFA which meant ‘Gluten Free or Adaptable’ with a good choice. We ordered 3 roast dinners. My GFA beef and Yorkshire pudding arrived without the Yorkshire. After checking it transpires that to meet GFA the Yorkshire pudding was simply removed. No other option. I was told I could have the YP with gluten if I wanted it… When we ordered desserts I checked first confirmed that the GFA fruit fool and crumble was in face just the fruit fool. When we shared our reasonable feedback about the interpretation of GFA, the lady listened but made no comment or acknowledgement. She didn’t actually seem concerned either way although friendly enough. The meals themselves were reasonable, the meat good quality. The gravy was lovely. Overall I thought the food was expensive for a pleasant enough but not fabulous Sunday roast. I would not return as a GF diner. It seems like a small thing but GF adaption being equal to just leaving out parts of the dish that have gluten in them doesn’t feel very welcoming. Do go there for pleasant regular food, a lovely setting, (overall) friendly staff and dog friendly indoor eating. I have marked down on value for money, and for the GFA experience. Take away the GF stuff and it’s 4 stars."

"We enjoyed a lovely experience at the restaurant, highlighted by a beautiful large open fire. The food was delicious, and the young servers were incredibly helpful, assisting me in selecting dishes that accommodated my allergies. We had such a great lunch that we decided to return for dinner in the evening. The only downside was an older woman with shoulder-length blonde hair who came off as quite miserable and abrupt, often being rude when spoken to. If it weren’t for her, I would highly recommend this pub, as the chefs created wonderful dishes."

"We stopped by for coffee in the late morning and ended up making a reservation for lunch after noticing that the restaurant was dog-friendly and the menu looked appealing. After a stroll along the seafront, we returned for lunch and were promptly seated in the conservatory, a cool spot for our two small dogs. The servings were generous and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his sweet potato chilli curry. I opted for the gammon steak with fat chips, two fried eggs, and Boston baked beans, which was also delicious. The Boston baked beans were the best I've ever tasted! The portions were huge, and although I couldn't finish mine, my husband had no problem polishing it off. The dishes were nicely presented and the service was excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant."
