Fantastic service and such a cosy little pub. Great choice of ales and a lovely platter to go with it. Parking a little difficult over Christmas but only to be expected. Love it , can't wait to go back

Had a very nice cheeseboard here at the half moon. We had a table next to an open fire on a cold evening, the food we had was delicious backed by the great staff here. Made us so welcome. Had a great evening.

We hired the pub for a private function an 86th birthday party! Landlord Tom and his team completely nailed it. Food was brilliant, service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble this is an A1 traditional pub. Love it and can’t recommend it enough. Ver carta

We've been walking here from Harrogate for a number of years, well worth the walk and a real reward. Staff are unfailingly friendly, the beer very well kept, wine well chosen and glasses perfect. Food is simple but always delicious. Pate remains a favourite. Thank you all!

We arrived without a reservation, but we were well accommodated at a charming table for two. The pate was delicious and the breadsticks were excellent. The pizzas were tasty, the local beer was well-kept and flavorful, and the Pinot Grigio was good. The staff was polite and efficient. We will definitely be returning.

In my opinion, this is the top pub in Knaresborough. They offer a great variety of beers and drinks, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere with two open fires in the winter. During the summer, you can enjoy drinks in the park by the river or choose to sit on the patio or out front. This is always the pub I suggest to visitors. They also have delicious cakes available. The Half Moon is located across from the River Nidd in a charming area of Knaresborough. You can enjoy your drinks in the Riverside park if you prefer. The pub offers excellent hospitality and a variety of beers, including Roosters and Tiny Rebel. It is a cozy establishment with a lovely backyard. One of our top picks in Knaresborough and definitely worth a visit. Please note that only dogs are allowed in the beer garden.

Amazing. Beautiful pub inside, we sat near the log fire on this rainy cold night. We had garlic bread to share and a pizza each. They were very tasty. Definitely would go back and would recommend. The lads serving food and at the bar were all very friendly and very helpful. Will be returning and highly recommend this pub for a drink but definitely for food. Was too full for dessert, disappointed as the cakes on the bar looked delicious.

Seven of us comprising of 3 generations booked for Saturday lunch. We were received by a very helpful and courteous young lady who showed us to our table, gave us a few minutes and then returned to take our order. An assortment of cheese and meat boards accompaiied by hummus and pate with toast arrived promptly. Additionally two bowls of carrot and coriander soup which were delightful. The food was of exceptional quality and was enjoyed equally by the three generations. It is really refreshing to see a public house serving nutritional and high quality foods accompanied by excellent wines and beers.
