"Haven’t been in for a while as last visit was not exactly welcoming. Previous visits have been great but just the one occasion of poor service has kept us away. All changed on our recent visit when the welcome couldn't have been better. Cheerful service. We were given our favourite window seat by the fire. Great Sunday lunch, all served perfectly. Charming country pub with plenty of character. The staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. The food was outstanding; I especially enjoyed the steak and ale pie, which came with fresh vegetables. I highly recommend this place!

Went for a Sunday lunch at the Halfway inn, staff were friendly and polite, lunch was excellent large portion with plenty of fresh vegetables. Special mention to the front of house manager who made sure everything ran smoothly. Thank you
