"I went to the pub at the end of November with some friends, and all of us (around 10 people) ordered food. Most of the dishes took over 30 minutes to arrive and were cold. When we asked the manager why there was such a long wait for cold food, he was very rude and we had to argue with him to have our meals remade. The second attempt at preparing the food was better, but some of the starters like the onion rings and popcorn chicken were soggy. We decided not to complain again to the manager and just left. It's unfortunate because the pub has a nice atmosphere, but it is poorly managed and some of the dishes are not well-prepared."

The most delicious venison steak with red cabbage and garlicky potatoes. Glass of red. Perfect for a rainy evening!

That’s right. Gotta get that salty goodness in with a pint. Head chef and Brooke working wonders! Btw Brooke has the American service behind her.

Bright and airy setting. Early evening buzz with groups enjoying the cocktails, some in two for £10, some not. Service friendly but slow given the cocktail demand. Interesting decor. Good place to meet and set up for the evening

The meal was delicious and the service was excellent, but unfortunately they had run out of some items on the menu. Despite the large space, it may not be ideal for a romantic dinner. The food and wine were enjoyable overall. Surprisingly, there were no vegetarian main course options, but the kitchen was able to create a tasty tomato pasta dish.

We've been here 12 m ago but on this occasion we were presented with an Indian menu as well as the usual. We all chose the Indian food and we were blown away, absolutely lush,so tasty and certainly not too spicy. The service was Impeccable and once again great ambience. We we're told that this menu had only been running for 2weeks, long may it continueWe will return

The staff were friendly, but the quality of the food was well below average. Our group of 12 waited a long time for our food, and the tomato soup that some of us ordered was so bad that we all sent it back. The main dishes were all served cold and hard. The staff tried to make up for it by giving us free drinks and a 15% discount, which was appreciated. The venue is nice, but based on the poor quality of the food, I can't really recommend it.

Popped in tonight for drinks on our way out for dinner. Greeted at the door by a member of staff in a suit who wanted to seat us rather intimidating. Felt very unwelcome just having a drink in the bar area of the pub. Is the HH a pub with a restaurant at the back or is it now just a restaurant that serves drinks? We have been going to this pub for a number of years and it has a great garden........but don’t think we will be going back as the atmosphere is unwelcoming and just not the same.

I was looking forward to lunch with my friend and she suggested the Hampshire Hog. Impressive website, lovely back garden seating area. Tap water freely available. Then, a 15 minute wait and my friend had to go inside and ask for menus. When the salads came they were tasteless and for £13 poor value. Does anyone taste the salads in the kitchen.? Masses of red onion, hardly any avocado and very few tomatoes. I had to go and ask for some balsamic vinegar to get some kind of flavour. Shan't come back.

Having had a meal in a local restaurant, we decided to end the evening with some drinks! This did not suit the staff, arrived at 9.40 to be told we could half one drink! We were made to feel very uncomfortable, last order bells were ringing, the barman was theatrically spraying every surface in sight and we took the hint and left at 10.15! The sign displayed on the door advises that the pub is open till 11pm, very misleading! We will not return, and will ensure that our money is spent in a more deserving establishment!

"If you live in or visit Hanwell you must take a lazy walk down by the locks and build up an appetite before heading to the W7 Emporium. It’s a little white door by a crappy old man pub sat next to a small florist. Open the door and the atmosphere is straight away comfortable, your away from the street and simply relaxed and at home. The staff are friendly and offer as much banter as you want to be involved with so this is nice and a change from the branded offerings. The furniture is mix and match and the space light and airy so it fits well with Hanwells vibe and there is an outdoor space for the summer. The menu I would describe as funky modern Mediterranean, and there are no sausages which for me can be an issue. But if I’m being 100% honest I couldn’t care less here, the options here are well thought and imaginative. If you want a fry up there are other places in Hanwell to get one but if you want a Mexican there is only one place and that’s here. Ok I’ve given away my ultimate fave thing on the menu it’s what I have and it’s spot on. Poached eggs, nice bread, salad, crispy bacon, avocado and spicy sauce all out together and presented beautifully. So here we go it’s hands down the best place in Hanwell and if you want wine with brunch that’s fine because they serve that too. Have a couple then walk back to the canal and enjoy the afternoon whatever the season it’s a regular weekend jaunt and a compromise between a fry up for me and something healthy for the wife. In the eternal battle of good verses evil the Emporium emerges victorious every time."
