"While in Arley for the weekend exploring the sights and visiting the Severn Valley Railway, we stopped by a charming restaurant for a drink and a meal. We enjoyed sitting in the spacious beer garden with our dog and indulged in some delicious pints and meals. The steak and ale pie and lasagne were both superb, with generous portions and great value. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. The food seemed homemade and was very tasty. We were so impressed that we decided to dine at the restaurant again after our trip on the railway and exploration of Bridgnorth. The scampi and steak and ale pie were once again fantastic, accompanied by some refreshing ice creams for our walk back. The staff on Saturday were just as welcoming and efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return when in the area again."

A Riverside pub used a lot at the weekend. Specially by people on the Severn valley railway. Reasonable pub grub. Lots of outdoor seating.

Wednesday is Steak night, 2 x 8oz Ribeye and bottle of wine for £30. My rare steak was tender and lovely. Chips, mushrooms, Tom's and salad. Really good value,

Fantastic Sunday lunch, friendly staff and great spacious beer garden. Saw people with dogs out side and inside and it was very countryside vibes. Husband had a steak was Welldone asked for it medium but he still enjoyed it.

Sunday lunch is really good value for money and lovely, we had a choice of lamb in with the meat options which most places do not offer. Everything was cooked to perfection. The stuffing was really nice too not rock hard or dry like some places. Well worth a visit , we were very impressed could not fault it. We will return and take others with us. Ver carta

Where do I start? Desperate! Awful! 3 meals is that what you call them. There’s no chef here, that would be an insult to the profession. Cook from frozen or wait for the microwave to ping. Tasteless offerings. Save your money, avoid this place. There is nothing good about it. I can’t believe I have to give it a rating of 1 out of 5. It doesn’t deserve 1.

The Harbour Inn opened its kitchen for a group of walkers during lunchtime. There were only 3 main courses available (cobs as well), but they all looked appetizing and were priced at a very reasonable £10.00. I opted for the Shropshire ham with double egg, chips, and peas, and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of delicious ham with a honey and mustard glaze.

The service at this restaurant was terrible, the food was not worth the price, and the staff were unprofessional. The worst part was when a male staff member was caught vaping near the ice cream area and putting his hand down his trousers. It was disgusting and inappropriate. I doubt management is aware of these actions. I will never be returning to this restaurant. It was a shocking experience. Ver carta

A group of 20 ladies canoeing from Bridgnorth to Arley. I booked a table in advance knowing it would be busy because it was 1940’s weekend. Jodie sent the menu in advance and we sent back our choices with names. They printed this out and called out names as they bought the dishes out. We were a little late for our reservation but the staff were all so friendly and helpful and the process was so efficient. The food was delicious and fantastic value for money, especially as it was a busy 1940’s weekend for the Severn valley steam railway, two minutes walk away.

Nice setting just a few minutes walk from the river Severn,we visited on a Sunday dinner time with friends and dog. The inn itself has various seating areas inside and a very large beer garden and outside bar(which is cash only). Roast beef dinner was excellent and good value,as was our friends lamb,my wife had a prime burger which was ok but nothing special and overpriced compared to the roast diners. The thing that spoiled it was for some reason a band was playing in the beer garden,so loud that you couldn’t hear each other speaking across the table, even after leaving it could be heard clearly after walking a good 15 minutes away,I feel sorry for the local residents in what is otherwise a...

"that was a good pub restaurant before. there seems to be a bad retention and a high turnover of employees who think about management. the steak I ordered was chewing and full gristle. I said the waitress politely that she would get the manager/Koch/Barman out of the kitchen. gary, the above mentioned helicopter of all trades, seems to do the work of all, instead of managing that he has not arrived. a few minutes later the waitress asked if we would like more drinks. I explained that I wanted to solve the problem first with my meal and she went back to the kitchen. finally gary arrived and in a very condesctive way explained that rib auge steak has some fat in it. I am aware of the sibling that gives taste, but not gristle and steak as hard as it is like chewing leather. in no phase I offered a replacement or another option, but after a waiting period of minutes since my complaining and the sight of cold gristle before me I was no longer hungry anyway. gary's attitude was risible. he has no customer service skills and did not make any excuse or offer of any kind to put it right. he simply produced a bill for the whole meal (minus the steak), which was wrong anyway, as there was an additional glass wee on it. he changed this with a pencil entry and stood above the table while we paid. we took family members to this pub and its attitude, lack of civil society and general ignorance made this a very unpleasant experience. we will never visit the dog again, a once excellent pub restaurant ruined by its bad administration and high turnover of unfortunate and overworked employees."
