Always a favourite for a Sunday Roast. Huge portion that’s a good price and tastes so good! Staff are helpful and friendly and it’s such a nice vibe. Highly recommend!

A reasonable distance from the centre of Cheltenham and at the foot of airy Harp Hill is the Hewlett. A warm interior and a nice garden outside, and good drinks too. The Sunday roasts looked excellent and I expect to try these another time. Staff were efficient and friendly. Ver carta

Came here after a busy day at work, served really quickly by a friendly member of staff, who took our drinks and food order. Two friends ordered their burgers with mac and cheese which I thought was odd but when it came out I was jealous Lots of crispy cheesyness! Love coming here, lush food, friendly staff cannot fault it.

The Hewlett is a friendly family run business that’s takes pride in their pub and lovely relaxing beer garden, they have over head heaters on in the outside dining areas which is very welcome in the winter evenings. The food is of a very high standard and they cater for any occasion , everything is spotlessly clean and tidy, we will definitely be back again soon even if we do have to travel over 200 miles to get there

We spend a week in Cheltenham each March during the racing festival. We first discovered this pub about ten years ago when staying close by. Since then ‘being near the Hewlett’ has been our first consideration when renting a house nearby. The food, drink and welcome is exceptional and Emma and Paul and the team have over the years become good friends. They also have 2 x v nice bedrooms above the pub. This is a gem of a pub and always my first port of call when in Cheltenham. Ver carta

Went on a Sunday night Person behind the bar was rude Never called last orders so I was sat there with no drink as the bar was closed and who I was with still had 3/4 of a pint left When I asked why he didn't call last orders he said I never do as I should have known they close at 10 which I didn't as never been there before and more than likely won't I said I didn't know and he said o well not my problem and turned his back and walked away And with being a landlady myself it's not a good way to deal with customers

We booked the Hewlett for a family gathering after a funeral held at the local crematorium. It’s literally a stone throw away and easy, free parking either in the road or in their car park. Mei helped us choose a suitable buffet menu and we made all the arrangements with her help. The food was excellent, the staff were very efficient and the area they reserved for us was perfect for our family. We also had lunch here whilst planning for the wake and that was also excellent. Everything was reasonably priced and good quality.

We ocassionally stay in Cheltenham for crat markets and pop into The Hewlett for a pint. We booked a table last night as we also wanted food and it was excellent. A tapas type starter of holumi chips with a chilli jam and, some fried mushrooms with aoli. This was followed by slow cooked brisket with mash absolutely delicious. Pint of Bath Ales Gem and bottle of rioja. A particularly excellent part of the evening was the service. The two lads behind the bar, taking food orders and serving were exceptional the place was very busy and they were managing all of it very professionally and with good humour.
