Lovely place really welcoming…the bar lady really friendly and the food was excellent Toilets clean and a lovely log fire

Enjoyed a wonderful Christmas lunch on 25th in this traditional small local pub. Lovely staff, log fire, Guinness and of course Landlord!

Cosy atmosphere and the pizzas were excellent.The sides we had (naughty fries and dough balls were also fab). Would also recommend the desserts but unfortunately we passed this time. Ver carta

Five of us stayed in the accommodations above the pub for a month. It was a great value and very well-decorated. The pub has a fantastic atmosphere with a lovely fireplace and was always busy with customers.

My family and I had a fantastic time staying above the pub the food is so good the staff were really friendly as well as the locals we met The accommodation booked on Airbnb was first class amazing interior design clean and comfortable especially the bedding ! Thanks Jon and staff from us all

Delicious Sunday lunch in this small but perfectly formed village pub. We stopped on our walk and greeted with a great selection of beers and one of the nicest sunday roast around. I decided to visit the Hopbine for a meal. It was quite quiet at first and the restaurant was on the small side, but we received a very friendly greeting. We started with the delicious bread and Chicken skin butter, and then had pizza and pulled pork bap. The pizza was especially outstanding, with a delicious tomato base. The portions were very generous as well. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fondant, both of which were excellent. With the addition of some local beers, the total bill came to under £60 for two people, making it a great value lunch. The atmosphere in the pub was lively by the time we left. I highly recommend dining at the Hopbine.

While walking in the area, we decided to try out this freehouse after trying a couple of pubs in Matfield. We were pleased with our decision as it was a busy Sunday afternoon with all tables full, but the landlord made room for us to eat at the bar. The beer selection was excellent, with a variety of ales and craft beers, including Neck Oil. I ordered the chicken roast, which was delicious after a long walk. The portions were generous, especially the chicken breast, which was the largest I've seen served at any restaurant. The sides of Savoy cabbage, carrots, and Yorkshire pudding were also tasty. We moved to Tonbridge 6 months ago, so have been checking out different restaurants around Kent. We were recommended the local butchers a few months ago so thought I’d check out the pubs. They had a cancellation so managed to fit us in. It’s a nice small pub, quirky and was very busy so had a good feeling when we walked in! The staff all work very hard and are polite. We ordered the roast pork and beef and it was incredible, I am not exaggerating when I say these roast potatoes were the best I have ever had. My girlfriend had the sticky toffee pudding and she said it was great too. After having a roast in south borough and tonbridge, I was surprised at the quality of the food for the price.... Ver carta
