"This is a hidden gem! Gorgeous fine dining set up in a relaxed atmosphere, rural location so best to take a cab if, like us, you want to sample more than one of the extensive wines on the list! They do have parking too. The biodynamic Gruner we had was amazing! The service was perfect, I didn’t catch the name of the gentlemen who looked after us (on Thursday 8 July in the evening) but he made our evening pretty special, talking us through wines (and offering tastings) and generally being attentive throughout. The dining experience was relaxed just how we like it! We ordered a few small plates, then a few more, followed by the most delicious cheese board and a little extra sweet walnut treat was presented to mark our anniversary very sweet! Overall good value for excellent modern British and European food and service, we will be back!"

"One of the nicest pubs I have been to. We are two families, with a kid each year old boys) and we walked from Bodiam, where we are camping, to Salehurst, having been told the Halt was a good pub to visit. It certainly...is. Lovely, welcoming and attentive and chatty staff, a lovely beer garden, very nice local ales, a good selection of lager and very nice food. The kids played table tennis most of the time and then when they eat their plaice and chips, not a thing was left on their plated. The pub does not have a specific kids menu, but will make a kids version of every menu choice there is. The staff were very accomodating in this respect and also were as happy to chat to the kids as they were to the adults. We all left for the long walk back to Bodiam declaring it was our New Favourite Pub. Thank you The Salehurst Halt, for giving us a lovely couple of hours of pubbage' :"

"Great food and friendly staff. They use local suppliers wherever possible and have an extensive menu. Lots of sea food, but there are more than enough other options to keep me (a non fish eater happy. Can thoroughly recommend it although would suggest that booking is a good idea (should be solid 4.5 stars but Google can't do half stars Just to update, still reccomended. If you go in the summer when the pizza oven is working, try the bbq pizza (bbq sauce base, not plain tomato ."

"I visited the Hub several times last summer for meet ups with friends and found it to be friendly and chilled even when busy. Today was my first visit since last year and something has definitely changed. The staff are still very friendly and kind and helpful, but they seemed quite overwhelmed and were very busy. The menu is foody and not overly simple food which is fine but then it has the price tag associated. We waited quite a long time for our food (over half an hour for a sausage roll) but it was nice; didn't feel like a lot of food for the money, but maybe that's me having a wrong impression of value for money.My main concern was the flies inside the cafe. While I was waiting for my tea, there were several plates of cakes etc waiting for their coffees to join them before they were taken outside. And there were flies all over them. This really is horrid and they need to sort this aspect out asap. A combination of being a farm plus doors open for ventilation I imagine, but gross. Surely they should prep the drinks first then put the cakes on last..?Due to the rain we've had, the sandpit is muddy and wet in places which is fine but we weren't quite prepared for it! So puddlesuits and wellies required."

"I moved to the area 2 months ago, never usually order Indian but it is the ONLY take out option around. I've struggled over the years to find a decent Indian but the struggle is over! Only 2 months of living in Robertsbridge and me and my partner have ordered from here around 5+ times. Tonight was the first night we dined in, and the experience only got better. The staff are INCREDIBLE, I wanted something *SPICY* after the vindaloo wasn't spicy enough for me previously, they said I couldn't handle the spiciest curry on the menu and recommended a hot curry with a side of the spiciest curry they do but only the sauce, which I'm glad they told me as I wouldn't of been able to handle that sauce in a full curried meal. The curry with the side of spicy sauce was just perfect! A meal fully catered to my taste! They have soo many options and if that isn't good enough for you, they even mention they will make a meal for you that isn't on the menu if you suggest it. They have fully covered every single persons food preference. You will not walk away disappointed or unsatisfied! I don't care that Uber eats aren't available where I live. I don't care that this is the only food delivery in the area. This is the ONE. Dietary restrictions: It can be catered to you! They'll work around any dietary restrictions Parking: Easy, simple, close, spacious.
