"my partner and I ate here tonight (4th juni). I didn't expect anything special, but I was pleasantly surprised. there were some problems, but nothing scattered. the menu needs a whoe look, not all of us want to eat the American diner...style. I am told by the beautiful lurking that most of the comfort foods were removed, such as sausage and mash, liver and wobble or lasagna. Of course, there were ground fish and chips, but I personally think fish and chips should be kept up to a Friday night evening. the portion size is huge, gp must be a killer for the poor chef budget. I must mention the absolute humiliating pudding, below is one before and after, could honestly feed 4 with this baby"

"Family anniversary meal. Firstly the pub is a very nice place and the atmosphere was lovely. Unfortunately the experience wasn’t great for a number of reasons. 1. The gentlemen taking the food order got 2 meals wrong which then incurred a wait for 2 of our party whilst the correct meals were prepared. 2. We had to change one of the drinks as it had gone off. (Pipes not cleaned) 3. The main meals presented looked very nice however the pie was vey salty. Condiments on the menus were not brought with dishes as advertised and we had to ask. All in all a very nice place but unfortunately due to our experience we won’t be returning and would not recommend."

"After years of dining at Low Burway on a weekly basis, we have noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food. Our new go-to spot is Drake House Mill. The dishes are absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and worth every penny. We must give huge compliments to the chef. Also, a special shoutout to Alex and Elaine for their exceptional customer service skills and warm welcome. Fantastic experience overall. Please continue with your excellent service and cuisine."

"My husband and I have been wanting to visit as we had heard good reviews following the change in management recently. We decided to book for Sunday Lunch and we were not disappointed!!! We were welcomed on arrival by the friendly and attentive manager and then shown to our table in the spacious, lovely decorated restaurant. He explained what the soup and meats of the day were and took our drinks order which arrived soon after. I hadn't heard of one of the starters before so they explained to me what it was and they must have sold it well as I ordered it and thoroughly enjoyed it! (Beef Bon Bons as per my photo, try them! After a short but appreciated rest we were then presented with our Sunday roast WOW!! I apologise for not getting a photo but it looked so tasty I couldn't wait to try it! It was really good and had everything and more....meat, Yorkshire pudding (which was the best!! , stuffing, mash and roast potatoes, roast carrots and parsnips and a side of at least 4 5 different vegetables to go with it. We couldn't manage a dessert as we didn't leave room but from the looks of what was being delivered to other tables we will definitely try one on our next visit. I like to add some negatives to a review also to give a good balanced opinion but I honestly couldn't think of any. If I was pushed, then I would say it is a little more money than your standard carvery chain restaurants but you pay for what you get and we were very impressed, money well spent! Well done to the management, chefs and attentive waiting staff, you made our visit very enjoyable thank you!"
