came here at the weekend with friends. had the chicken cake and West-Endburger.' both were cooked for perfection! so a great standard of food, not the normal pub grub. great local beer too.

I had lunch here on a Monday in November. Great service. We both had the poached eggs on sourdough. It was very nice and the eggs were done to perfection but on very thin bread. The molten chocolate fondant I had after was a disappointment as the midfle was not molten at all. I can make better. Service: 5 Ver carta

Great little inn. Especially if you happen to need to lock rifles up. They are dog friendly. Food is great. The inn is warm and cozy, good beer garden. Rooms clean and spacious. Good car park and range of beers. Close to Sunningdale and I can only assume a gun range hence the rifle safe in the rooms. Could do with air con in the summer but other than that nice place to stay. I had the sunday roast, consisting of 2 slices of lukewarm frying beef, hard dry kartoffels, hard stone dry pasnips hard veg. it hardly had a heavy one that made it even worse. it was obviously all been sitting around forever. after. I said to the waiter it was over boiled dry, then he ignored us for the rest of the meal, so I had to dissert more drinks on the app order, really bad meal service, which is a scandal as it is in the regular good. Maybe they've sorted their roast out, as a couple of people complained!

We stayed last night and had a beautiful room clean warm and very spacious with great parking . However we went into the resturant which was full. There was a very full table of 10 or more to our left . They still hadn't had their full courses and were still waiting after 2 hours . We were waiting for a cookie to arrive with our hot drink but no one knew they were out of stock except for the off duty cook Ellie who came to rescue with chocolate brownie and saved the day . Glasses everywhere over the bar it appeared true kaos. Dishes everywhere also No direction organising waiting staff , even though they were rushed off their feet no one appeared to be in charge .
