"Went for lunch today having not been to the Kentish Horse for many years. Traditional British Pub with very friendly welcoming bar staff. Interior unchanged, just how we remembered it, lovely large garden. Having had enjoyable meals here before we were slightly disappointed today. The pub wasn't busy but we had what we considered a long wait for two main meals. A Ploughman's with Brie and Stilton was ordered, which came with just the Brie,(even though the barman wrote it down) it would of been better value with a baguette rather than a roll. The chips that were ordered to go with The Steak Roll were over cooked too! My husband asked for a bottle of diet coke, he had started chatting with locals at the bar and didn't notice he had been given an all most flat glass of pump coke. No desserts were ordered but an Irish coffee was that was barely warm. Okay they are all simple things that could of been corrected if brought to the attention of staff, but if they were on the ball they wouldn't need correcting!!"

Very pleasant staff and a lovely spacious garden. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Our chips were badly overcooked as were my chicken goujons.

My 2nd visit after coming here last year for lunch. Excellent food again. I highly recommend the homemade burger. The ploughmans was also excellent. Very well kept ales. Nice garden as well. Ver carta

Delightful sitting in the sun in the very pleasant garden staring at the vast horizon so peaceful. Staff here are lovely, friendly, warm and very efficient. Mid week lunch and the place was packed which says a lot. Food here is pretty typical, but well cooked and presented and reasonably priced. The Kentish Horse is a really nice venue and we will certainly return. Ver carta

I recently visited this restaurant after living in the area for some time. I wish I had found it sooner. The restaurant has a lovely, spacious garden that is clean and tidy. The lunch menu was extensive and the food was good, especially the onion rings. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only drawbacks were that we had to buy two small bottles of orange juice to equal the amount of a glass, and the desserts were a bit pricey at £7.25 so we decided to pass on them. Overall, it was a very enjoyable lunch experience.

Located off the beaten path, this restaurant is a hidden gem. My friends and I decided to try it out for Sunday lunch. Two of us ordered the roast chicken, which both said was moist and delicious. The other two of us, including myself, ordered the beef, which was excellent. The meat was not thinly sliced like most places, and my knife cut through it like butter. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The portions were generous, and the ladies couldn't even finish their meals. I was so impressed that I have already made a reservation for November 12th. I can't wait to have another incredible meal.
