the personal is good and friendly. only disappointment was the fish and chips, fish was tasteless chips over boiled the mushy inherited were to minty. all the other mealtimes looked great, I will definitely try something else again. it is still getting to friends.

Lovely atmosphere, great place for family occasion or lunch/dinner with friends or a date. Outside is wonderful when the weather is good. Inside is cozy but light during the day. Service is attentive and friendly. Food is pretty good. Three of us had different sandwiches for lunch recently. Two on ciabatta bread (the fish fingers and the steak) thought the bread was too tough and too much compared to the filling. The lobster and prawn roll looked small in comparison but was quite filling and the soft roll complimented the lobster. I've been going to the Langton for about 12 years as it used to be my local. The service has always been very good and the place itself is always comfy and clean. Dogs are allowed in the bar and the beer garden, the open fire in the winter is just lovely and they have ample parking. They offer a good range of drinks including non alcoholic ones the passion soda is refreshing on a warm day.Over the years the food has been a bit on and off. I've had a couple of cold meals and the odd over cooked one too. However, since returning about 6 months ago, every meal I've had here has been excellent.
