"7/25/24: Decent fish and chips on hole in the wall setting but not at a hole in the wall price. For the price, you might as well go to a nicer place down the street like Old Queen Street Cafe which also has fish and chips."

A great place to eat typical fish and chips in London! The service is also excellent.

Great little place that my wife and I found while visiting London. Really enjoyed the fish(halibut) and chips. Ver carta

Simple but excellent. The fish is breaded and cooked before our eyes like the fries. The portions are generous.

Fish and Chips not bad but nothing special. A very small restaurant. Sufficient, nothing too exciting. Friendly staff and still good food. Honest prices Ver carta

Prime location from where we stayed. The staff was beyond accommodating despite having young children in tow. Even scrambled eggs for my youngest though not normal. Would certainly recommend!

The wait staff was some of the most friendly we have encountered. The family business feel was evident and the food was great. Fast and convenient to Westminster activities. A classic fish and chips type place.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
