After an op and enforced isolation for over 3 weeks, a visit to The Lion (a treat from my family) was my first venture out. Boy was it good. I don't eat meat and I'm not really keen on meat loaf and the alternatives so the chef just cooked me veg, a Yorkshire and gravy and it was amazing. Buena comida, servicio rápido, aunque el personal parecía estar bajo presión con muchas mesas para servir. El nivel de ruido de una mesa doble con niños pequeños era muy fuerte, no ayudado por la acústica de la sala, prácticamente tuvimos que gritar para estar escuchado a través de nuestra mesa, vergüenza, pero nada que el León pudiera hacer al respecto

I booked this restaurant for my parents' anniversary party and it could not have been better. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and everyone enjoyed the hot buffet food. The pub is charming and despite being in the countryside, it is easily accessible from the A303. Thank you for all the effort you put into making it a special day for them.
