Very disappointed, advertised for pizzas on Friday and Saturday in October but arrive no pizzas available.. love the Sunday roasts here..

Loved this place and although busy the staff were kind enough to rustle up a table for us. Delicious roast beef cooked to perfection. Spotless toilets and easy parking in car park next door. Friendly staff. Good place for exploring constable Country. Service: 5

We had dinner bed and breakfast here for our anniversary, the room was amazing and the staff couldn’t do any more for us.. even making arrangements for my husband to have his favourite lobster I would highly recommend the Lion and we will definitely be returning in the summer to sit in their lovely gardens. The most delightful countryside pub, with delicious food, friendly staff, great choice of drinks with a frequently changing specials menu. The Sunday roast and veggie roast were so good- not too heavy, and full of flavour! They have a gorgeous courtyard overlooking the garden, and they recently renovated the inside- I couldn’t take too many photos as there were too many people this time! Definitely recommend booking. **Rooms:** The new accommodations are beautiful, set within this amazing old building. **Nearby activities:** Located in the heart of Constable country, there’s lovely countryside, the option for rowing on the river at Dedham, and historic Flatford Mill close by. **Safety:** Considerable effort and resources have clearly been invested to bring this building up to modern standards while ensuring disabled access. **Walkability:** There's good parking nearby, along with plenty of walking paths. **Food and drinks:** The menu offers an excellent selection with a great balance of quality and price.
