"My wife and I phoned an hour before our arrival at lunchtime on Sunday 17th Dec and got a cheery reply to say they would readily accommodate us although they were quite busy. We sat in the front room next to the open fire that our dog Ruby loved after the walk from Clitheroe. We ordered main courses from the table that took around 20 mins to arrive, and both thoroughly enjoyed our venison sausages and fish pie washed down with an excellent pint of Timothy Taylor's and brandy and lemonade x 2. The excellent service encouraged us to have a suite ..it would be rude not to!..sticky toffee pudding and rhubarb crumble with custard which again was delicious. We finished our drinks and paid the bill for just shy of £70.00 and left feeling thoroughly satiated. The staff were all very friendly...Ruby was even given a few boneo treats by the young waitress...so she was pleased too. All in all we had a lovely time and would recommend it to all."

We stayed in their ‘Coach House’ accommodation and we were very impressed. Clean, comfortable, lovely modern bathroom and large walk in shower. Great food in the pub and a lovely breakfast too. Very warm and friendly staff, highly recommended.

One of the best pubs to stop of for a drink or some really good food . Sat out front of pub having a good drink in the sunshine , very enjoyable . The pub is full of charm and character and the staff are exceptional at what they do even when the pub gets busy they just seem to notch up another gear and carry on as if it was second nature. Brilliant to see, outstanding service .

Went with my wife to the steak night. Like everything else it has gone up in price from £35 to £40 for 2 steaks and a bottle of red wine, so still good value. They had Ribeye and Sirloin on offer. We both had Ribeye, not a huge steak; but absolutely delicious. They were accompanied with chunky chips, mushrooms, tomato, garlic butter sauce and the biggest onion rings I've every seen. The batter was nice and crispy and you could actually see and taste the onion inside.... Delicious. Highly recommended. Oh! The wine was good too.

here last week with woman, daughter and 88yr old mother in law. was going to check that they were wheelchair friendly and was told that they had ramped and put us in a easily accessible position. at the arrival we were warmly welcomed by the renter and no effort was spared to make our visit successful. eating was fantastically absolutely filled at the end of the meal. I can't praise this pub enough, their customer service was fantastic and the staff was beautiful. a real English country pub will definitely return for another fantastic meal.

We went in for a dinner booked ta 7pm. we got there early for a few pints of beer and sat in the room behind the bar. the room was full of very friendly locals and a huge German shepard names Daisy at right in the middle of the room. Had the pleasure of stepping over the friendly dog to a corner table and sipped on beer until our table was ready. Everyone was very curious of us and we had good chat. I ordered the pork sausage with mashed potatoes broccoli Rabe and gravy and it was very very delicious. The staff were super friendly and would go again. Only think that was a bit strange was the music choice in the room we ate our dinner was low volume but a funny mix of club mix dance music.

after a considerable journey around the opposite attempts to find somewhere to eat on a very bleak januar on Sunday night, we came across the lower buck. we were greeted very warmly by the layer manager, a beautiful young lady, who showed us a cozy table for two by the fire. the pub felt inviting. we chose the Sunday roast, truthahn for me, bark meat for the nabenbein and ordered a pint each of timothy taylor bitter shandy. we didn't have to wait very long for our meal, which was stacked high on our plate with carrots, roast potatoes, kartoffels, paprika and filling, not to mention a very generous aid both of bark and truthahn, all of which were crushed in gravity. the bill including drinks,...

"I wasn't at blueberries with my friends since before covid so it was great to kick through the door and see how busy it is, fortunately I had a table for lunch. there is nothing special vegan on the menu, but they try to place their very hardest, in contrast to some places. I love a jacket kartoffel and choose her beats with various items from the menu, so ordered frying and avocado. katherine, one of the owners and cook came on our table and said she could suggest some other dishes and also vegan cheese if I did not the jacket kartoffel, but if I still did how about the topping of sonbs. what a nice geste and I will visit her on her offer of other options at the next. I noticed that they were able to offer vegan options for their Christmas card and also had two vegan, frozen meals to take away, moussaka and chili. my friends ordered a chicken and specksalat and a fish and chips and both said that eating was delicious with a mention that the chips were the best. my kartoffel was huge, with a lot of topping, served with beautiful salat and quickly grinded. the food is made fresh to order and blueberries is very popular as full it was on a cold Wednesday afternoon. there is also a small marquee on the side of the blueberries, which for those who are brave and sitting the weather and of course adds extra space. I really can't knock blueberries, they may not have vegan options (although a cake would be nice and I need to ask if they have plant milk as I always have my own. but they will always try to eat rusty something satisfying and with announcing can something like a vegan hotpot that I had before, what was brilliant."
