Visit for the first time..great Sunday roast, defo srvice with a smile. We recomend this Pub for a Value for money Sunday Roast..

We had a large family gathering. Great selection on the menu, good variety, some of the Asian dishes were on the spicy side (of course). The staff were friendly, the owners happy to help.

Visited yesterday for lunch with a friend, great menu and food was lovely. Quiet when we arrived at but soon got very busy. Very popular place and we will definitely be back although will book next time as no idea it would be so...busy. Ver carta

WOW what a gem, booked a Sunday roast here and what a lovely surprise, the meat was tender with three choices, plenty of veg options AND a chef that knows how to cook roast potatoes, not many places do now. Keep up what you are...doing, we will certainly be back

Rather than review the food like most folk , I thought I would review the ale and atmosphere, both are excellent, best pint of doom bar outside of Cornwall, sports bar is great for a session , one of the best times to visit is...when Big Kevs on the sauce don't sit in his chair tho) it's a laugh a minute . Proper pub with proper folk

Came to Stowmarket for the weekend, just me and my partner, we had booked for the steak night on the Saturday, but decided to go Friday night to see where it was, decided to eat there too, just loved it, so back again we went...Saturday and also for the Carvery on Sunday! We had a great time, we were made to feel like locals, so welcoming! Would totally recommend Ver carta

A group of us had the Surf n Turf Saturday special last week and can only say Wow. All if us agrreed the steaks were probably the best we have ever had. The T Bone was so big that the side dishes had to come...separately. The sirloin were juicy and tender and cooked to perfection. The dishes were so big it was a great we got a free drink to help it down.An absolute bargain. We will be back soon.

This pub is marvellous. It has a delicious Sunday carvery and a really lovely team working with the landlords Jen and Malcolm. It’s a real local with a great community atmosphere. It also has a spectacular selection of gins (well over which are available...from the bar. Please go and visit, enjoy the gins and food: not just on a Sunday it is great any day of the week( and enjoy a proper British pub!

Been meaning to review for a while as the meal my partner and I had here has been etched into my mind for all the wrong reasons. I had a veggie lasagne and (I am no fussy eater) it was very challenging to eat indeed....Veg slop, very bland and veg tasted frozen. Partner had gammon and chips, gammon was fried like bacon and so tough it genuinely made his jaw ache. Dog seemed happy with it though. Staff nice enough. Ver carta
