"The family looked forward to dining out at the Manor House, particularly the wife and I to get some well needed down time after a busy working week. We chose the Manor House as we had heard they provide colouring pencils and print outs to...be coloured in, which we hoped would keep the children occupied so we could pretend they weren't with us. Unfortunately as per the image attached the coloured pencils looked like they had seen better days to say the least and hadnt seen the inside of a pencil sharpener for quite some time. To put it mildly they were as bald as Willy Thornes head. Needless to say the kids soon realised they were useless and proceeded to badger' us throughout the visit whinging about how bored they were. I wish I had taken a pencil sharpener with me but to be honest unless your Tony Hart you probably dont always have one to hand, and when I'm going for a meal I'm more focused on remembering my wallet and pocket comb than a pencil sharpener. Come on Manor House sharpen up!!!!!"

I recently attended a friend's 40th birthday celebration at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. The price per person ranged from £1 to £10. I would rate the food and service a 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 4 out of 5.

The service at this restaurant was initially slow but improved once the food arrived. The wait was worth it, and I highly recommend visiting. The average price per person is £10-20, with delicious food rated at 4 out of 5, service at 3 out of 5, and atmosphere at 4 out of 5. There is plenty of parking available, including a free parking lot. Ver carta

The restaurant has recently updated their menu and we absolutely love it! I tried the mezze plate, which was surprisingly large enough to be a full meal. The burgers were delicious and they even allow dogs in the restaurant. They also offer gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20. I would give the food and service a perfect score of 5.

Booked table object to paying deposit for 7 so booked for 6 put us in a booth but these booths are ok for 5 not 6 so this was poor selection of table we did have to bring over 2 chairs Extremely busy so getting drinks served was slow and hetic. 5 had good meals enjoyed it 2 was just OK. Fish very thin not chunky but nice lasagna was dried overheated and little if any sauce in it should of sent it back but was so busy you couldn’t catch the waitresses attention I left most if it. 1 ordered fish cakes when it came only 1 fish cake as a main meal this was poor when questioned the kitchen said it’s bigger than normal, no it was a normal size fish cake and I am sure this is false advertising you...

"Visited this weekend for a family celebration and had an unremarkable experience. Decor of establishment was rather nice. Admittedly, we were a large booking of 17 individuals and this can be challenging to manage and organise for such a small establishment. The mature gentleman was rather rude to our host whom asked for an additional chair for the party as we were one short despite finalising numbers as agreed earlier in the afternoon. This is no way an appropriate manner to treat guests and clearly set a bad example for his staff as well as the wrong tone for the evening ahead. Guests were not even properly seated before being hounded for their drinks order despite not being given a drinks menu. Upon asking about cocktails to the waitress whom was pleasant she was unable to give the full selection just the three she knew of the top of her head that were the standard run of the mill selection. To give full credit to her fo honest regarding the diaquiries before we ordered them in. The cocktails (passion fruit martini and cosmopolitan's) ordered were disappointing as they tasted watered down and lacked a bang. Don't understand why one of the passion fruit martinis was brought out in a drinks glass which was rather random. Drinks orders were taken on an ad hoc basis with the waiting staff not taking a full tables order walking away as people attempted to give their drinks order, unintentional maybe? We were rushed to give our starters/mains orders all of which came promptly and all guests received the correct order. The waiting staff shouted out food orders from the top of the table to identify who's order was who's. The pasta based dishes were pleasantly enjoyed yet the pizzas and parmesans proved to be somewhat vanilla. Not all guests had properly finished eating their meals before the gentlemen asked if he could remove plates before receiving an answer from the full table resulting in some guests to not finish their meals. We were not offered a deserts menu once they removed dishes from the table. We had second hand embarrassment for an additional family party whom were having a celebration meal at the restaurant. The party had started to get settled at the table putting out their balloons etc when the mature gent stormed over barking at them to move as he shoved table and chairs across the restaurant. This clearly made them feel uncomfortable as was noticed and commented by the service users of the restaurant. The waiting staff plonked the celebration cakes on the table one of which didn't even go to the correct individual. NO SPECIAL MEMORY OR MAGICAL MOMENT TO BE HAD FOR A 18TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. It would have been nice if they had asked before bringing it out as some of our party partially missed out on the occasion. The bill was given to the wrong individual instead of the host which allowed for everyone to see the bill when this was an private affair. To be perfectly honest we visited a few months earlier and had a disappointing experience but with better service. Linthorpe Road is bursting with alternative, superior, independent eateries that I would highly recommend instead."
