Not been in for a while, can't believe £2.20 for a splash of lemonade or coke, absolute robbery .. I would like to warn any potential visitors to this establishment about there rip off prices , I personally will not return .

Very disappointed...food very poor quality for the price they charge. Staff service poor, tables not being cleared. Husband waited 12 minutes at bar for a pint of Guinness to be poured, the bar man started pouring but then got asked to deliver food to tables and forgot to come back to the bar. Won't be back.

What can I say …. It’s terrible to go to your local and be served burnt fish but still frozen in the middle …. Reading the past reviews should alarm the owner to take action to rectify their business ! Waiting staff are very nice and friendly and I can’t imagine how that feels to take the brunt of customers who ate this unhappy with the food …. Ver carta

We had a lovely time with the family for my son 's 18th birthday. Good food and great service. The atmosphere was enhanced by Doris Day tribute act. Josh (the acting manager) couldn 't have been nicer, same with the man serving us. Everyone had a great time. I delivered the cake the day before and they were so happy store it until they brought it out, much to my son 's embarrassment. Thanks to everyone!! Vivian.

Ordered food ..got told one wasn’t available AFTER they brought everyone else’s food ..reordered something else..waited over 30 mins after speaking several times to a wee lass who was apparently duty manager ..that’s a laugh her attitude was terrible think she needs retrained ..been coming here for ages now but the standard of food is now way below par and staff attitude terrible they just dont care so I won’t be back here for food again

I Go to the merlin regularly, the food is always quick and tastes incredible, and always a really nice atmosphere. I wouldn’t usually leave a review but today the service we received was above and beyond. A young man named josh who works in the kitchen was extremely helpful. He brought out our food as well as making it and was extremely polite and friendly. He is an great asset to the merlin team and I will be sure to come back again to try More of his delicious food. Great day out doris day tribute she was good dancing to her singing 12 friends there staff friendly and helpful meals were **** no steak no gammon no chicken few of us ended up ordering fish 2 sent it back was burnt mine was moved didn't enjoy it out of 12 of us 3 said meal was ok rest said it was worst meal ever we stayed as doris day tribute came on She was really good wouldn't goback for a meal staff were friendly stayed till doris day finished most of us were still hungry none of us finished meals none enjoyed what we ate pity as its a nice place why they didn't order in steak chicken or gammon who knows

Ordered a blue cheese and bacon burger, tiny amount of cheese, even less chutney, sent it back only for it to return swamped with chutney (bad tempered chef)? The burgers were chewy and lukewarm and my 2!! onion rings were burned. While the rest of us were being served my friend was told she couldn't have a pie as the kitchen had run out of pastry! We had waited a long time for our meal but this was noticed at the last minute? The restaurant was not busy so I dont understand how all this came about. Looking at your reviews there are a lot of complaints you say you will look into, is that really true? The waitress was very nice btw

Avoid This Public House is a disaster. I visited last night in the company of my wife. There were 2 people tending the bar and the pub was fairly quiet. One guy was serving coffee while the other one was taking a food order to a table. Once these tasks were completed one of the staff disappeared while the other went off to clean tables leaving the bar empty and customers waiting. At one point a third male came into the service area, logged into a till, paid no attention to any of us customers standing at the bar and promptly disappeared to who knows where.
