"We met up with some family for dinner here after such a lovely meal last time. It is always worrying when you recommend a restaurant so highly that others may not feel the same. No need to worry in this case... the family loved it as much as we did! We shared a starter platter which was meant for two but the five of us struggled to finish it so generous was the size! Each of us had different main courses and they too were large and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately none of us had room for dessert! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for good, honest, home cooked food at a very reasonable price. The Mermaid remains as one of our favourite restaurants and we can't wait to go back. 3 drilling chili was tinted tomato chili powder. bland is an understatement. very few options. the one star is for the decent service not eating

I had the vegan cake, they only had the healthy tomato one left, but somehow I wanted to try something else. it was nice, but a bit subduing, nice service. it was really busy.

Located next to the sea, it’s in a beautiful place and there are also guest rooms if you are visiting overnight. There are some nice vegan options for main dishes as well as a salad bar with vegan bread which is included with your meal.

today, with 3 children and the dog, had the 2 course lunch menu with additional salat bar eating was superb, kids meals were also great with salatbarous. the personal we are very welcoming and friendly with our dog, will definitely make many more visits, would definitely recommend,Gut made!

had a beautiful mr. nice mushroom cake here with kartoffel and veg. free serve them salatbar with beautiful broth rolls to begin with. the type that served us was very friendly and efficient. dog-friendly, the one big bonus for us and parking almost opposite, next I will come back here definatiw! updated by the previous review on 2019-03-22

stylish place with fantastic eating and really courteous, friendly, hospitable staff. we used to be couples and loved it, but yesterday to Sunday dinner (that was divine) with the family returned to celebrate a birthday. what a beautiful experience! the place was insanely busy, but the staff was as attentive as if they were the only ones there. fab! we will be regular visitors right now!

good, vegan options to see on the menu, but the pumpkin and the red lens cake I had was very bad. it was small, dry and quite tasteless. Given what vegan cakes are available, especially in supermarkets, I found this very disappointing. after mentioning the small portion size, I became much more veg to fair and the service could not get fault-free. updated from previous review on 2018-08-16

I and my 2 dogs decided to sit outside on a very rare dry january day as it was relatiw mild. I was told that we were more than welcome to sit in the inside, which was really nice and the dogs were ever given a cookie! I chose muscheln and (huge) blackcut from the £9.95 for 2 courses menu. everything was really fresh and delicious and I was made to really feel welcome. do not hesitate to recommend. Thank you.
