"beautiful 3 night relaxing stay with friends. clean, clean room not exactly power shower, but did the job. Eating was fantastic considering that there was no chef cook during our stay. good selection of bieren the highlight of the stay was the service of karen. who is the heart and the soul of the place and could not do enough to make our stay perfect. many thanks, cheerful that they make our stay so pleasant. their attention to detail and attitude towards the customer is fantastic. I hope the owners appreciate them as much as the paying customers. well done we wouldn't have thought to stay here again."

Was hosting illegal fox hunting when we tried to visit. Went for a hike on the fells and saw the hounds tearing the poor fox apart only 20m from me. Pub actively supports and allows Blencathra Hounds access to their land apparently. Grim stuff. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1

The staff at this restaurant were incredibly friendly, the food was exceptionally delicious, and we only had to wait 15 minutes for our meal. I ordered the Brisket sandwich with a side of chips for approximately £15 and it was truly one of the best meals I have ever had. I will definitely be returning. Food and drinks: Excellent, Rooms: 5, Service: 5, Location: 5. The highlight of the restaurant was its peaceful atmosphere.
