"On our first cruise, we enjoyed fish and chips, which were excellent with generous portion sizes, served with bread and butter and a cup of mushy peas. Having lived in Penkridge, I can confidently say that our favorite fish and chip shop is the one used by Georgie, and you won’t be disappointed! For our second visit, we went for afternoon tea with some colleagues, and it was fantastic. We all sat together at the front of the boat, which was lovely. The tea was constantly replenished, and the sandwiches were delicious. Even those of us who preferred simpler options were satisfied. The homemade cakes were absolutely delightful! The only downside was that I was unable to eat one of the cakes due to a strawberry allergy—I forgot to mention it when booking. I did ask for an alternative, but it was too late as they didn’t have any on board, but that was entirely my fault! Despite the weather not being ideal during both visits, it didn’t take away from the pleasure of the trip. The comfortable setting and stunning views along the canal made up for it. I highly recommend this unique and relaxing experience, and I will definitely be returning. Many thanks to the team!"

"I thought this was an average place the food was nice, prices were reasonable, plenty of parking out the front decor was nice, the girls serving were friendly and efficient. I had a mock-tail which was nice. They don’t sell alcohol here, but I believe you can bring your own. the only things I would say which were negative were that 1. It was absolute freezing in there 2. They constantly have ‘just eat’ drivers coming in threw the front door which a. Let the cold air in continuously and b. Was annoying because they then pack the orders into the delivery bags on the bar, it’s distracting and they should do this in the back and drivers use a back door. 3. Every time a driver comes they press a door bell which is really loud and annoying and distributive to your table conversation. It’s not good etiquette. If not for these 3 things I would have rated higher."

"I’ve tried hundreds of takeaways in my 70 years but I had curry from here a couple of weeks ago and I can honestly say I’m so glad I moved to Stafford this was a real proper curry with a remarkable tasty sides and naans we were so impressed we have booked Christmas and can’t wait to dine in next week everyone is friendly and can’t do enough for you if the restaurant service is the same I’ve found my new go to Indian."

"my first take from here after recommended by friends ordered good reviews. they had obviously eaten in the restaurant that had not taken along. ordered a “special” garlic chili chicken masala plus a combination shell of lamb bhuna / huhn makhan? I'll ask you because I don't. differed from the meat that curry was able to read. all 3 boxes had the same soße, nothing written on boxes, very little taste difference. that said the lamb was very tender. Do you think I might have gotten something in the wrong way as included in the bag was a container with sauce, 3 pieces of kartoffel a boiled egg? the free poppadome tasted of fat glad I didn't pay for them. I usually freeze rest for another day, but not sure I want this rest again. it's a shame, as friends say when eating in eating is amazing. Maybe I chose a bad day? Not sure I will order from here again."
