The Monmouth Ash - Carta

I have visited this restaurant a few times in the past and found the drinks to be just average. However, tonight I ordered a vodka and coke and it was the worst thing I have ever tasted.

Visited last night for a get together for my friend’s upcoming 50th….. food was very nice, particularly lovely garlic bread! The staff were efficient, polite, lovely service. Will revisit. Thank you

Although a little disorganised to start with re seating us. We had booked and felt a little ignored when we arrived. The service improved and the staff (although young and maybe a little inexperienced) were very good, polite and helpful. Food was good and reasonably priced. All in all, a decent place to eat. This restaurant is incredibly welcoming to dogs, always providing biscuits and drinks for them. The food is absolutely delicious, with an impressive menu, and the staff are consistently friendly and courteous. This is definitely the best pub around, no other pub can compare to the Monmouth after being a regular there!

Came here for some food and a few drinks while on a short break away for my wife’s birthday, lovely pub/restaurant, incredible staff and very good food. Definitely will return when we are back in the area, as pub owners we love places that make you feel at home and welcome and that wouldn’t be possible without the two members of staff here at the time of our visit. Both very friendly and engaging from start to finish! What a pleasure so thank you to Phillip for looking after us!

Went with my Dad and cousin for my Dad 's birthday. Pre booked table which was fine. Got our drinks quite quickly, but then had to wait for almost an hour for our meals. Cousin and I had the chilli which was really nice, and was nice and spicy although for the price there could have been a bit more. Dad had a steak, which is where things went wrong asked for 'medium ' and it arrived closer to rare but the worst thing was that it was really sinewy and stringy and he just couldn 't manage any of it. Didn 't seem like there were enough staff for the number of customers and noisy quiz night (which wasn 't mentioned when we booked) didn 't help. Very disappointed. Ver carta

We used to frequent this restaurant for our Sunday lunches as our son lived nearby. However, on our recent visit with the family to celebrate his new home, we were disappointed by the quality of the children's meals. The sausages were overcooked and hard, likely reheated in the microwave. When we brought this to the waitress's attention, there was no apology, just a dismissive response. The macaroni cheese was also subpar, clearly microwaved and burnt around the edges. Serving children meals that are poorly reheated is unacceptable, especially considering the prices. Play loud music till the middle of the night. You could hear it a mile away. On walking to discover the source, came across dozens of residents from multiple streets standing at their front doors angrily questioning where the music was coming from. On confronting the management about their anti-social, late night, outdoor band that could be heard throughout half of Verwood, we were told that no one had objected to their application to play loud music for some beer festival.they we're hosting... This was our first visit to the Monmouth Ash but will certainly not be our last. We wanted an early lunch after an appointment and thought we would give it a try. Both exterior and interior have a good ambience and we were greeted by a very pleasant young lady behind the bar. We had a pate starter to share followed by ham, eggs and chips, which is something I often use as a measure of decent pub food. We were not disappointed. The pate was tasty and the main was three thick, tasty ham slices with two eggs and very nice triple cooked chips. My wife had the piccalilli, but I gave it a miss, as I think with HE&C anything other than tomato ketchup is sacrilege! We were too full for a dessert. We... Ver carta
