"This is a clean and cosy pub which we chose for our Sunday lunch treat for a family friend visiting from Norfolk. The route from their car park leads through outdoor seating to a rear entrance . The bar was comfortably busy , the Six Nations rugby was on, and it was a convivial atmosphere. We were shown to our table and served drinks and given a menu by our waitress Molly who did a great job looking after us during our visit. There were several starters , three mains and several desserts. The roast dinners on offer were turkey , beef and pork. The meat was succulent , the vegetables (broccoli,carrots,cauliflower and roast parsnips) were well cooked and tasty. Too many (5) roast potatoes for me ,flavoursome stuffing ,Yorkshire pudding and gravy were all excellent. Our small party had each of the meats and all were well satisfied with quality and quantity. Desserts arrived and the apple and cinnamon pie with custard was absolutely excellent! Other desserts tried were ice cream sundae and strawberry meringue which received good reports. This was a very pleasant unhurried lunch which we all enjoyed. Well done and thank you Linda and helpers! We will not hesitate to return."

My dad and I often visit, all the food is homemade and gorgeous very friendly warm and kindly staff. A hidden gem!

just a standard solid pub. Young man Sam is a nice guy and is doing well there. they show sports and have outside seating which is always good

Went to the nags head tonight as i heard they had a new chef (carter caters for you doing a curry Night not disappointed fantastic food good service will definately be back

Great sandwiches with nice little extras like crisps, coleslaw salad, presented well. Beer is kept well, good lunchtime menu with special deals and homely deserts. No food on in the evenings, but a lot going on, such a friendly place.

Authentic pub food with a touch of elegance. Making a reservation was simple, the staff were friendly and attentive. There was no pressure to hurry, just a relaxed atmosphere to unwind. The food was outstanding, cooked perfectly with a diverse menu at an affordable price. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Last night, we hosted a farewell party for my daughter and her boyfriend who are going on a trip. The staff at the restaurant were incredible - they were friendly, hardworking, and ensured that we had a fantastic night. A special shoutout to Linda and Jenny, who made us feel very welcome. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you.

I had a great lunch today with my daughter at this lovely pub. We both ordered the fish and chips, which were excellent. The fish was top-notch and cooked to perfection. The chips were crispy and delicious, and the peas were a nice addition. The whole meal was perfect. The pub itself was clean and the staff were friendly. We hope to visit again soon.
