GREAT FOOD WONDERFUL STAFF OUR FIRST TIME THERE WILL BE BACK VERY SOON SOME OF THE BEST FOOD WE HAVE TASTED FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME

I met some friends at the Nelson for lunch on a Monday.The place was busy which is a reflection on the excellent food and service. The menu is changed daily and the food is delicious.Friendly staff. Nice ambiance inside and very welcoming Highly recommend.

I had the hummus starter which was generous but could have done with little more bread. Followed by the Serrano ham wrapped fish, of which the portion size was just right for me and a glass of red my total was 33£ which I think is not bad for todays standards Ver carta

Surprise meal out with son and heir really lovely cosy atmosphere ,friendly staff and good service on the snow night so only a few staff ,I had the liver pate and the steak sandwich ,both were very tasty and would come back again ,the vegan bao bun and vegan salad also got the thumbs up

I went to this restaurant with my family and we all had a wonderful time! The food was delicious, especially the steamed vegetable parcels. I personally loved the lamb main course (it's always my favorite), while my mother was very happy with her smoked salmon and spinach wellington. I highly recommend this place, the atmosphere is always friendly as well.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and escorted to our table. The food and service were outstanding! The staff were very attentive and even went out of their way to accommodate my sesame allergy, providing me with an allergen menu. Despite the busy evening, the food was served promptly and we were not left waiting. We will definitely be returning! The prices were fair and the food looked amazing in the pictures. It was very busy which is very good. The food was very expensive for what it was and had to pay extra for Yorkshire pudding. The vegetables were so limited. There was no taste to my food at all under the people in my family said the same. The service was very slow and the staff were all over the place. Although there were very polite and helpful when they got to us. A bit more of a routine needs to be put in place. It’s a lovely building and lovely atmosphere. that’s why I gave it a three. Hopefully you can improve on these points. Thank you

Had lunch here today with my partner as a quick drop off back from brimham rocks and so glad we did! We walked in and couldn’t believe how nice it was inside. I think it’s quite hard to get a nice pub these days that gives you the wowness and just how cosy it was an peaceful with a lovely view of the countryside too. I got the feeling straight away it was going to be a nice lunch. Lovely, knowledgeable, friendly staff from start to finish, food was efficient, very tasty and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! Maybe summer time when it’s abit better weather! Haha. Thank you!!!!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and cozy inside. Despite it being a busy Thursday evening, the car park was full but the restaurant itself was not at capacity. The food was delicious, with all courses being enjoyable. However, the service was slow and somewhat disorganized. Our table was booked for 6:30, but we didn't receive our first course until 7:30. Desserts were also delayed, with one arriving 15 minutes after the others. Despite these issues, we would consider returning as the food was good and we hope for better service next time. The staff apologized for the problems and gave us vouchers for our next visit. Ver carta
