it is a tiny restaurant not only full of charm, but with really great food, the whole meat is slowly cooked and the tenderness it is never forgotten! stef, the owner has made us feel from a minute home, as I announced the birthday of my partner. I'll come back every time I'm in lyon!

A great find. Between the three of us, we managed to sample all the meats and they were all really good – the brisket and the sausage were particularly excellent; the sides too (coleslaw and mac cheese were both great). The staff were very...friendly and service was quick. Definitely worth a visit.

This is excellent southern barbecue with large portionselection of meat. The Lyon twist is they also have an excellent selection of wines to go with it! If you are hankering for classic delicious southern dining,, or just want a hearty dinner, I highly recommend New World Smoke. Honest food brought to you. Ver carta

Après avoir lu un super article dans La Tribune de Lyon, nous avions hâte de tester cette adresse. Très très très déçus... le lieu ressemble plus à un pub de hard rock qu'un resto, le menu est difficilement compréhensible, l'accueil inexistant, nous mangeons au sous sol, sans fenêtre. Nous débarrassons nous même les tables pour avoir de la place, les verres qu'on ne donne sont vraiment sales. Des couverts en plastiques pour manger de la viande... nous avions choisi ce lieu en parti car nous étions pressés et que l'article disait que c'était une bonne adresse pour manger "sur le pouce". Habitant le quartier ça faisait plusieurs fois que je passais devant en me disant qu'il fallait que j'essaye ce petit restau qui se veut southern food. J'ai donc attendu qu'ils aient quelques avis avant de me décider. Globalement on a été déçu, on a pris les ribs à 15€ qui étaient bonnes mais sans plus, un peu léger même quand on a déjà pu essayer ce plat aux USA (je sais on est en France, mais même en France on peut trouver meilleur). L'assiette mixte est sans doute le meilleur choix, un éventail des viandes qu'ils proposent. Franchement c'est bon mais un peu chère au final. Pas vraiment d'explication sur les plats, couverts en plastique mais bon à la limite on s'enfou. J'espérais vraiment...
