"We booked a table tonight for our annual family Christmas meal for 6 people. We had booked several weeks ago and the table was set for 8 even though we booked for 6. There were plastic table cloths and cheap thin cutlery which really surprised me. We were so very disappointed. Our table was booked for 7.30pm. My sister and husband were slightly late arriving so we ordered drinks and then ordered our food once they arrived at around 7.50pm. We chose prawn cocktail starters from the menu but were told it was main course only not starters. The main course was really very average. I had a luke warm tasteless lasagne and chips. We has 2 choices of desert, I had a deforsted lemon meringue. Shortly afterwards we were asked to settle our bill at 8.45pm, no chance to have coffee. We were then asked to leave at 9pm by a waiter who turned all the music off even though we still had our drinks. We asked can we just finish our drinks and were told only if you take them downstairs to the bar Never have I experienced this type of customer service. Why open up as a restaurant if you are not equiped to do so. Definitely more a cafe than a'restaurant' and a very poor one at that. We will never return, it was such a bad experience."

Service was excellent, all staff were friendly, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fab and delicious. Thoroughly recommend. Excellent evening had by all 6 of us.

this is an amazing pubs, some great beer wonderful native and dogs welcome. I love this place the renter and the staff are so welcoming and ensure that old and young people are cared for and cared for.

the nottingham always hardens the best prise bitter in cleethorpes. I'll start drinking there when it's staunch. I'll go back a few years. I always remember venerable fergu always served the good painter guinness. it is a good old traditional pub and his dog friendly

on Sunday to lunch after the dog to foot. the staff was very friendly and made a fuss of the goat. Sunday roast was nice and made to house, although I thought it was a little expensive at £39.55 for 2 roasts,1 pint and half a koks for the type of pub. would still go back.

Went for an evening meal with a group of friends.. pre warned the chef that I was Vegan as nothing Vegan on the menu. I was offered 4 different vegan options when I arrived, but disappointed that it seemed to be all bought in processed vegan food, burgers, sausages, chicken. Home made Vegan meals are easy to prepare and cook, particularly this time of year when seasonal vegetables are cheap and in abundance. I’ve visited this restaurant many time over the years and always enjoyed the home cooked food and cosy atmosphere. Sadly I didn’t have the same experience this time. We all commented that the restaurant was cold, we weren’t offered desserts and was informed they wanted to close at 9.15pm...
