The Old Barn Cafe - Carta

What a pleasant surprise to come across this unpretentious café in Heysham. Friendly staff, sensible menu and excellent food. We will visit again.

This small café offers a surprisingly diverse and delicious selection of vegetarian options, surpassing some of the offerings at larger chain restaurants.

I have visited this cafe multiple times and each time I have tried something new from the menu. Every visit has been fantastic. The service at this cafe is outstanding, with friendly staff and impeccable food. Ver carta

We were only in the village for a short time and in need of refreshments went into this cafe. We had a snack of tea and cakes which were excellent. This is a lovely place with nice staff and a good menu. The place to go if you are in the area.

During our short stay in Heysham, we stumbled upon this café in the village and were greeted by the very friendly staff. While we didn't have a chance to try out the full menu, we did enjoy some delicious coffee and cake, both of which were excellent.

Friendly staff with a good selection on the menu. Especially good for the 'hangover ' big breakfast although other choices are available. Nice location in Heysham Village so handy for little walks The Royal Pub just up the road........... There are a few parking space outside Ver carta

We were doing a walk from a book that highly recommended The Curiosity Corner Tea Rooms but for some reason they were closed so we tried the Old Barn cafe next door. Perhaps we just caught the cafe at a very busy time but it took 25 minutes before we received our food. My bacon and sausage bub contained one piece of bacon which was (and tasted) burnt and 2 sausages cut in half

There was a lot of choice on the menu and our order was taken promptly. Despite the cafe being reasonably busy, our drinks came quite quickly and we didn’t wait too long for our food, which was well presented and tasty. Good size portions. The lady serving was friendly and helpful and suggested we take a look around the local church. The area was beautiful and we had a lovely walk around the churchyard at the very edge of the sea and a tiny sandy beach.

We called for lunch on a glorious day seeking a tasty sandwich as we were due a larger tea, and we were delighted at the result. Although we wanted sandwiches, we could not ignore the choice on the menu TO SUIT ALL DINERS! We had an egg mayo on brown, and a tuna mayo on white. they both came with a crispy salad and fresh coleslaw. The bread tasted so fresh, it could have just been baked, and the sandwich fillings were generous and lovely, as was the salad. Service was excellent, and prices were very reasonable. We will never hesitate to return as we also ate Al Fresco on a gorgeous day. Ver carta
